its a real sky rc one but when i hold dec and enter when powerd on just says system update please wait so not like the copy's that go to a cal screen?

i think i need a new multi meter as that was like 10 quid in a kit 15 years ago and prob out more than the charger.
The different values are little so not a problem.

Remember batteries are chemistry and not physics.

A calibrated device does not mean it is perfect but that it is within a window, 5% is good for any device.

Most modern electronic devices are close enough to not matter, when you had a moving coil meter that had been dropped a few times then that was different.

I would stop worrying about discharging your batteries and charge them and use them, has the new photon displacement ray arrived or have the Americans held it's import up?

I used to have one of those on my bike, when I used to do a lot of night fishing. My journey home at midnight was about 5 miles along unlit roads . Naturally, the cars never dipped their lights, which totally blinded me. One time, I ran off the road because i couldn't see where I was going.

I found the solution in an Eveready Power Beam, which was like a searchlight. I carried it in my right hand while I pedalled, and if any car didn't dip, I switched it on and pointed it straight at them. Naughty, but they all immediately dipped and we all lived after the event.

With the OP light, they always dip, even when it's properly adjusted, though if they didn't, you can easily tilt it up a bit.

I can't understand why you're messing about with all that stuff. I gave you the solution in post #1. £10 and you're sorted!
its not bright enough for me and the motor bike light was under 10 quid anyway.;)

plus with that charger i can balance charge a 6s pack if i need to.

i want a spot wielder but bit expensive for my needs atm.

this is confusing me a bit tho as set discharge to 2.0a and its only pulling 0.6a?

will only see 2s from the pack but got more amps out of it than that.

Max discharge in the chargers spec is 5w
8.4v x 0.6a = 5w

There is a protection circuit in the box, but it doesn't have any connection to the junction between the cells in series (it is wired as 2S2P), so in reality, it can't offer much protection (you can/will over-charge or over-discharge any of the cells if/when they become unbalanced)

Could you cut the middle out of the old reflector so that it fits?
