what's your model ? mars or mercury ?
I have no clue! It doesn't appear to state on it or on the invoice which model it is..what's the difference?

Lol.. Poor old Morphix must of started on the Christmas spirit a bit early :p

Anyway..

Just to put in this thread about

1. The request for 'off line maps', reason being that there are quite large areas of the country where data availability is non existent (also any cell phone signal come to that), also for people on tight budgets / low amount data in their cell phone package.

2. Instant / very quick profile change ('maybe' for peeps who would like an instant legal panic button, cough)

Hi Speedict

You are a commercial company and as such you need to contact he Administrator and become a trade member

From russell@pedelecs.co.uk and pay a monthly payment

I am sure this is a mistake on your part

Frank
Which if it really needed to be said then I'm sure could of been broached better by private message, rather than making you look.... well make your own mind up on that !

Does he reeally need to PAY to offer support? The guy is giving his time freely to help people use a product they purchased elsewhere...unless he's selling anything I don't see why he needs to register as a trade member here. For all we know, this account could be used by a support employee of the company eh If he started advertising the latest products etc, that's different but so far he's only indicated he's here to offer product support...it's great to see companies do this! Not many do, let's not risk alienating those that do.

1. at this moment we would like to stay on google maps because of its strong API as we consider more advance features like route plan, route count, turn-by-turn etc., don't worry guy, as per my information, google going to launch their offline version, we need more research on it.

see this : Offline maps in Google Maps for Android - YouTube

2. we did instant legal on Venus, because it is simple on it by just turn on or off the speed sensor signal invention, however on Mercury seem to have logic confusion and complicated ...

e.g. you are on road legal mode 2, connect pas, twist-grip throttle with 6km start and 25km top legal limit, all of sudden you want instant illegal ?
or we have "PAS + Throttle" mode, connect PAS and Twist-grip throttle without any governing and all of sudden press the button to turn it legal ?
so my conclusion is go for Profile model, you allow to create your own function mode or profile with customize limitation, for quick switch profile on notification bar !

I've just printed the manual and have been having a read through it. I must say, this is a fantastic piece of technology and very clever indeed. I think I have the basic gist of it, but will no doubt have plenty of questions when I come to installing it..which probably won't be until well into the first week of new year..as I'm my bike isn't finished.

My first question is... do you have to choose between the PAS and throttle function, or is it possible to both have the PAS mode and set your high/low power level on the throttle at same time?

I'm intrigued by the "voice out" feature which gives audio information..that's a very nice touch! Has anyone tried it yet..what does the voice sound like? :D I expect that would work with a bluetooth earpiece so you wouldn't need any wires dangling?

The battery stats and logging capabilities are of particular interest to me from a CycleCharge prospective.. I imagine this information would be very useful indeed for our project in the future. I may well code a feature onto the site so members can upload their logs on their profiles on the CC website. Besides being a simple way to host trips and display on maps, it could be used in future to plot or show when Charge Points are needed on routes etc.

if you use road legal 2 function mode, it mixed both, we take whichever higher as main throttle signal, or what's mean by high/low level ?

see this : Speedict Speak Up ! - YouTube

you can't work with bluetooth earpiece because android bluetooth is connected with your mercury, the voice-out feature was designed mainly for off-road users, and please consider install small speaker (mp3 player with line-in) or put your android on pocket / bag and use wire earpiece

You can connect your PAS direct to the controller as well. Then it behaves as normal, but it won't be speed/power limited because the governor only affects the throttle out. If you connect PAS to the controller and have three or more power levels, it might be better that way because the Speedict power is cadence related, which I personally don't like.

Speedict shouldn't have to pay as a trade member because they're only offering support.

BTW this is me D8veh on Saneagle's login because I'm at his house.

I've just downloaded the latest version of Google maps with the off line feature and its very good.. :)

The quick switch profile on notification bar solves the problem :)

P.S I ordered my speedict almost 2 days ago and it hasn't arrived yet :p
