If You Voted, Now Your Address and Party Registration Are Publicly Available Online
"As 404 Media notes in its reporting on the sketchy data broker, VoteRef, this kind of information has unfortunately always been public in most states. Nevertheless, putting it all in such a tidy package raises a lot of red flags, especially in the wake of Donald Trump's landslide presidential victory."

Lignin molecular property discovery could help turn trees into affordable, greener industrial chemicals

"Lignin, a polymer that makes trees rigid and resistant to degradation, has proven problematic. Now those NC State researchers know why. They've identified the specific molecular property of lignin—its methoxy content—that determines just how hard, or easy, it would be to use microbial fermentation to turn trees and other plants into industrial chemicals."

AI Industry is Trying to Subvert the Definition of “Open Source AI”

"The Open Source Initiative has published (news article here) its definition of “open source AI,” and it’s terrible. It allows for secret training data and mechanisms. It allows for development to be done in secret. Since for a neural network, the training data is the source code—it’s how the model gets programmed—the definition makes no sense."

but we can own our own home and keep benefits but anything over 16k has to be spent on that alone
That 16k limit hasn't changed since 1991 despite all the inflation over 33 years. Swindling us again like the static personal income allowance.
