We are facing a few serious problems right now, but one of them is that the United States is led by a man whose idea of 'truth' and 'fact' is whatever the mass of his uneducated followers think is true.Nothing prevents the incoming administration investigating the possibility that Anthony Fauci’s NIAID-supported research caused the Covid-19 pandemic. The pardon for Dr Fauci just prevents him being prosecuted by antivax conspiracy theorists like RFK Jr.
They in turn get their information from the toilet of social media - and that tendency doesn't stop at the western edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It has spread further than that.
The idea that a lunatic like RFK could be put in charge of medical policy in the USA is so incredible, that if an aspiring author was to pose such an idea in a novel, publishers and agents would laugh and set aside the book as too incredible to be published.
Buckle up folks. We have four years of this. By the end of it, we might have the answer to the question, 'Would it really matter if we put a gorilla in the Oval Office?
Funnily enough we have only recently had the answer to a similar question, 'Would it really matter if we put a senile person in the Oval Office. And not for the first time, because way back, Reagan was senile for most of his second term. His wife Nancy managed his daily routine by consulting an astrologer as to who he should see each day. Biden has been manifestly senile for most of his term.
Perhaps then, the office of POTUS is really a sham and the other levels of government do most of the work. I don't really know, but we will see what we will see as time goes on, because Trump is quite obviously a man utterly unfit to run a RATIONAL government.
What comes out will hopefully be steered by largely 'unseen' elements in government. If the so called 'deep state' does most of the heavy lifting, we might yet survive.
