assist between 20-23mph
At 13a (LCD reduced) it appears to hold steady at 300w once at max speed on the 48v battery and holds a nice 19-20mph but I haven't really pushed as of yet speed wise, new battery and the strong wind, I feel it will do 20+ and still provide motor assistant though, on PAS 3 its smooth at 250 watts and holds 13mph in strong wind and maintains a nice 15mph however when I went up to PAS 5 in the wind today and got home the motor did feel slightly warm to the touch and so did the controller only time will tell what it'll be like in the summer months after 30 miles or so out in the roaming hills of Lincolnshire but I will try to remember to keep you apprised of how it fares.

The trouble with the 250w, it has a low RPM at 36v and maxed out at 18mph but this was reduced to 12mph in head wind and up hills, it cained my legs to maintain 15mph anywhere below 37v hence the reason for the 48v test and the fact my rim cracked on the 350w.

Thanks for that sounds pretty good! yes guess you going to have to keep a close eye on the heat once our sun ever comes back!

Just a thought - could you unscrew the faceplate of the 350w motor pull it out and slot it in the other 250w wheel that's not cracked ? or are they actually different sized hubs

faceplate of the 350w
Yep tried that one a while back on a mates motor, I have 3 rotors(350w) 1 in wheel (cracked) and 2 new just in their cases, even if they did fit they'd be no good the 250w is front and the above are all rear, however did you mention something about an spilt axle??? you could have one of my rotors, shipping would be about a tenner!!!:p

Ow that would be fantastic! ... i think - being a bit dumb here but which part is the rotor, is that the middle bit that the axel is pressed though? If that means I could get my old wheel with the snapped axle up and running again that would be amazing :)

Jammy or should it be B/stard ;), I think 'rotor' was a typo and should read motor.

How on earth did you manage to snap the axle or do you think it may have been a casting defect ?

I'm super lucky and hugely grateful if it is!

Stupid error by me, had the bike upside down whilst testing and think i forgot to go back and torque one of the axle nuts down before going for a test run. Luckily I felt something odd when pulling off from a standstill rather than it happening at speed. Don't think i had limited the amps on the controller at that point so 1 side of axle held in bike, otherside popped out and i guess 900w pushing though it for a min caused it to snap the axle

axle nuts
Nasty - Always check your NUTS! -

"Rotor" I say that because that's what YOSE CS kept calling it, but yes the motor...
running again
Yep I should be able to help out there - I was thinking about selling the lot as is or separate in the near future anyway but since you really could do with some good luck I'l send the one in my cracked wheel your way for the price of the cheapest delivery and no obligation here but if you feel you can add a small donation of your choosing to my sine wave controller I would be a happy man twice, helping you out and stopping the BH from moaning about how much I spend lol

The only condition I would insist on is half the shipping cost up front and the rest on delivery... PM me if your interested...

One would assume the silver 350w is the same size as the black 350w???

My motor is for a freewheel, I have the internals removed from the wheel however I can't seem to get the cover plate off at the moment, not that I tried really, I remember the dillenger side plate coming off real easy to allow access to the hall sensors, is there a technique to removing it or should it just slide off???
