Jeez! Are you for real??
Totally, whats hard to swallow that signposting to relevant help in the event of a problem would be available, there are 1 or 2 bods in here with real legal experience and knowledge that have helped inform the rest of us..

or that a chap with NF for initials with a track record for screwing us over hasnt got sights set higher? or the outcome of his success would be pretty awful.

The former you can bank on, the latter i will argue over a pint.. or would if could still have a pint..

What I do know for a fact is Met Police check power out with a watt meter...Under what sort of criteria I have no idea. Anything over and above 250W they seize and confiscate. Make your choice and take your chances I suppose
May I ask, how do you know this "For a fact"?

The police would be wide open to lawsuits if they tried that. Didn't you read the attached letter in my post #27, which explains why they can't do that. If they did apply that rule, they'd seize every single ebike because a wattmeter would show more than 250w on every one of them except the Argos E-move folding bike.

my bosch ebike has a 1000w motor under the 15mph limit a motor can use as much power as it can, 25ow isn't going up any hill.

tho my controller is limited to 20 amps but with the speed limit removed i can hit near 40mph on the flat :p
Ever thought what would happen should you be involved in a mishap?

I deal with guys that earn their living using electrically propelled cycles. They lose money fighting the police. Go figure.

The bike in std set up is legal as are most Bosh bikes.
Regarding mishaps he has suffered more broken bones and injuries then most of the forum users put together.
