There was a 'Import Likes' option which I did tick when doing the import. I'll have a look into it and see if we can fix it.

Ditto, I lost well over 1000. I know Russ couldn't transfer everything over in one go so maybe we'll see their return later.

It's not as simple as that Emma. One of the key pieces of software we used on the old site is no longer being supported, as the company behind it has gone out of business. This software was the route to a hack a couple of years ago where a lot of members got spammed via their email address. I can't take the risk of working with unsupported software so we decided to jump ship to a different platform.

Also, we wanted to add several new features and make the front part of the site angled more towards helping out those new to electric bikes.

As for unfriendly and over commercialised - it's the same set of members and advertisers !

So Far I seem to agree , The new site is unfriendly and OVER commercialised , Preferred the old site , What isn't broke don't fix
Will reserve my final judgement for a month , while these little buglets are being fixed . Regards emma

Deep down, I'm sure most of us realise that the change has been made because it was necessary, and not just a 'facelift'. You made that clear enough in your thread on the old site:)
But you know how it is; can't resist the temptation to have a chunter:D
Funny how few people like change, and yet it is a constant in life:)

Thanks Russ
Will the blogs be reinstated eventually or is this function gone for ever
There isn't an inbuilt Blog section like there was on the old site. However, there are some third-party Blog add-ons which we can use. The question is how to get the data across.

The quickest way would be to email the 'Bloggers' their blogs from the old site backup and get them to repost them. Alternatively, we could do that but we may have to login as each of you to add the posts. We'd have to reset your passwords though but you can of course change them back again.

I've just increased the size limit to 10Mb/image. Let me know if you still have problems.

Yes, the status can be changed. I'm open to suggestions!

Today, keep getting timed out from the server! Whats going on? Forum is getting worse to use! Only just get on to the site and it is unstable with page jumping to top of thread and characters when typed taking longer to show up on the screen!

I can't reproduce any of those problems.

Our hosting company will be adding some optimisation next week so this should improve the performance further.

I'm not keen on the narrow text window, and that stupid picture of the sky is already driving me nuts.

It looks similar to where I live, a great place to ride bikes. Leave it alone.

I'll have a look at using the extra white space around the ads on the sidebar and using that to extend the forum width.

Having covered 9,000+ miles on my ProConnect and another 5,000 on my ProConnect S feel that the status lines are rather limited. I certainly have FOUND my (electric) wheels!
