thanks for your replyany bike that old id rule out the batt as will need replacing or a recell if a dongle has been used on the bike the mileage could be way higher than the display shows.
Hi thanks for your replyInteresting question, but even more variables for a bike than a car. I'd call below 500 miles a year low. I'm sure many people would say that is absurdly low, but also sure there are quite a lot out there that haven't done 500 miles total in the 4 years.
It isn't so much age on the battery but how it's been kept. On a very low mileage bike the battery may well have been unused and undercharged for quite some time which will have done it no good at all.

But if its cheap enough and in good condition it might be worth a punt , would need to be cheap thou factor in the cost of a New battery to gauge that .
