Yeah, like broken limbs from liberal use of said cricket bat. Scumbags everywhere unfortunately, but the act of gaining someones friendship just to rob them is particularly distasteful.
Sorry to hear this cwah

Cwah, really sorry to hear this. As yamdude says, let's hope that Karma catches up with this scumbag. I'm pretty sure that Mr Karma will have already tracked him from the phone number.

aaaah... police in Paris is pointless. They told me they don't have enough people and there is very little chance for me to find back the bike. Best thing would be to have an insurance, because they at least refund people from robbery.....

Worse part of that is that it's absolutely possible to trace them via IP from the site (Leboncoin) if police wanted to... but no, not enough resources :(

I guess they know that when they find him,he'll say that he bought the bike from you, and then who can prove that it's not true?

I am so sorry about what's happened. The guy who did this is 'un vrai salaud' because it was subtle theft and a clear abuse of trust (which probably makes you not want to trust anyone again). I would be tempted to check Ebay for several months ahead to see if it surfaces - you never know. Very best of luck.

Yes this is a sad tale indeed cwah. You put so much time, effort and thought into your Brompton.

As you say it will be hard to sell it on or even ride it round without being noticed.
