Hey, I need some help I have scooter with 52 volt 15 ah battery and when I charge up the batery to max its only 57,2 volt its suppose to be higher whats the problem?
Yeah but its the battery so its a same thingIt’s a scooter. May get a better response if you post on a scooter forum.
And my scooter just turns off at 47 volt it should go lower than that atleast to 43 voltYeah but its the battery so its a same thing
It cant be worn because the scooter has only driven 60km but I bought used so maybe I got scammed i dont know but I will try to test the cellsSounds to me like you have either a very unbalanced or worn/tired/knackered battery where one or more cells or a string of cells aren't holding as much charge as the others.
When other cell strings are full and charging stops that string isn't as full and pulling the whole pack down. That string will also reach LVC before the others and cut the BMS/battery power early too.
You'd need to open the pack and voltage test the cells/strings to see which cells/strings are low.
Its the one you stand on electric scooteris this a moped scooter or one you stand on?
Can I still ride it or is it not safe like it is now? Will the the battery break after some time?the thing is with these things is if you want high speed and amps from the batt it nukes the life of the batt esp if has been made with cheap cells so sounds like one cell bank has a fault and it should not even charge at all but they they use cheap bms and not a smart one.
you need to take the batt apart and remove the balance cable and check each cell bank of the pack but if one cell bank is dead do not plug it back in!!!!
but get in touch with the seller first as i bet they knew it was kaput.
these guys can custom make you a new batt in the uk and have warranty.

Ok will the volt drop like from 57v to 56v after some time or?You can still ride it, but it will continue to degrade until it’s dead. Then you will have to buy a new battery. Be careful on that thing.
Ok thanks for the help!!As said previously, you probably have a few bad cells in your battery and it’s likely that a few more will go bad in due course. So you will get a reduction in range because your low voltage cut off will kick in and shut you down. Eventually you will get fed up with it shutting down and you will have to buy a new battery, or get you current one tested and refurbished.
One thing that possibly can cause a battery to fail early when 'nearly new' is if the original owner forgets to recharge the battery after full use and the exhausted/flat battery is stored away for a long time before resale. The owner eventually might charge the battery immediately before selling and it might appear ok , but the damage may be done.It cant be worn because the scooter has only driven 60km but I bought used so maybe I got scammed i dont know but I will try to test the cells
