you could use a cell holder like above and stick a plug on it for the light but you will have no protection that way or use it with that lcd batt cut off meter with it then it will cost less than 5 quid.

tho if you went out and bought these ready made in a pack would cost 80 quid and there only 2600mah.

so 20 quid for 4 batts 2 free lights and 10 quid for the box is a lot cheaper and will last longer just not look as good.

over 12v then i can use a dc to ac converter if i needed to so if we had a power cut could use the pack for that and plug the tv ect in to it

Phil, It really is simple. I don't understand why people are recommending all these other options.

You buy the light that I recommended. It costs £16, comes with battery and charger. You fit it to your bike, charge it and live happily ever after. It really is that simple!

Ask Leigh if he's happy. If he is, there's no reason you shouldn't be.

How would the brightness of this compare with a Lezyne 1500XL?

Judging from the videos I've seen showing brightness and usage, it easily compares. But, it's around 85 quid cheaper.

£8 more though. If that output is true, you'll need a bigger battery. Bang for buck, the 'new best headlight' is what it says it is. Tried and test by many a forum member here. It looks great, lasts long, has a halo ring and a strobe function, 3 light level settings. What's not to like?

Of course, others may also be good. So don't forget the pics and the review if you choose to get one.

One of the downsides of lights like these on the towpath is when someone else has one coming the other way!! I have been so blinded by them I cant even see the edge to pull over and stop.

To see whatever you're looking at, you can wear them on your head or helmet.

After a battery upgrade, this one is very good.

Ive had that too to be honest...even with my lights now though, I always point them down in time.....but not everyone does that coming towards me
