There is a difference though. :)

You haven't taken an eMTB costing roughly 3k plus, then wrecked the off road functionality and use of the bike.

I just can't see the sense in taking an expensive bike, then making it more vulnerable to damage, and adding extra weight. The functionality of both bikes is now on par with your bike, so why waste all that extra money in the first place.

How nice! For me it's a gadget thing.. been like it all my life..
When I was younger.. in the days before finance bubble deals that will let anyone buy a new car, I had a series 2A land-rover which I fitted with a rover V8 and an extra gearbox so it had 16 forward gears an 4 in reverse.. To actually change gear when going backwards raised many a comment... I raided a mk10 jag at a scrap yard for the switch gear and wired it in so everything lit up and worked apart from the L&R tank switch. I got a speedo from an old wolsley cos the original used to hit the zero stop from the other side. It had as many clocks and dials as I could afford or scavenge...
Well that's me .... who is actually a bit restrained with gadgets on the bike TBH.

yet you put DH tyres on it and there 1435g each lol when my rear is 1065g and i only use it because the side wall are thicker and cant rip it off the rim going round corners to fast with 20psi in it.

same with the bag as it holds the batt i have and 2 usb cables for the phone light and camera as without it both will last an hr at best now its 6hrs plus+ and dont get stones flicked in my face ;)

at 20.9kg my bike is one of the lightest anyway but its still a fkn tank and thats what i call it.

The Red Ditch
Mission accomplished. Some before and after pics below. I've just rode it up the path outside for now. More drag obviously. Surprisingly comfy on tarmac. I'll see how they go tomorrow. :)
