I am assuming by the demo that people only get knocked off bikes in the winter.

Or do they have a summer version as well ;Ø)

I think that's because testing facilities have the Health & Safety viewpoint Steve, wear full protective clothing at all times when on two wheels. They'd have a fit seeing the way people ride mopeds etc in the Mediterranean holiday areas, just wearing shorts and sandals!

It is not just in Spain . Here in Lincolnshire kids ride in T shirts and shorts all winter , and you Never see them wear gloves . They say it`s just not cool . Bloody cold , I would say .

I wouldn't know about that, but I can tell you what used to be great fun on a motorbike in the late 1960's. It was called "Titty Time", and it involved pulling alongside Mr and Mrs Righteous and their kids in their Ford Anglia at the lights, and on the amber, giving a couple of hearty blips of the throttle, a cheery toot on the horn, turning to face the car, grinning and shouting "It's Titty Time" while the girl on the back hoisted her jumper and gave the family Righteous a good flashing before we shot off up the road.

Like many cyclists, I cycled for many years without a helmet, but started to wear one a year or so ago. One day recently I lost my concentration and got in on the grass margin. I finished up on my face amid a patch of nettles. I felt OK - no sign of any injuries. I looked at my helmet. I was horrified to discover a deep dent on it where it had hit a small, sharp rock. Needless to say, I always wear my helmet now.
