I was thinking about whether it's good or not to wear a cycle helmet and then I had a brainwave: I was thinking that if you go slower, there's not such a chance of injury, so could we change the debate to: should we condemn all those that ride bikes above 15mph?
by law........................except for one member!!!!!!Anything over 15mph and you need a helmet.

Yet............Those who like helmets, wear them and tell us ad nauseum how many times they've saved your life.
Those like me who don't wear them needn't say anything, their presence shows they haven't been killed.

Yes, makes a change for us to get in first doesn't it! In fact though if you read closely some have subtly indicated their support, so that's probably representative of the 27% who wear.Hang on a minute , after reading these and similar posts on helmets, it`s the people that don`t want to wear them appear to be doing all the preaching .Those wearing them aren`t smug as suggested , they don`t even say they wear them . Only they know who they are !
