all bikes are cheaper if you get them from Germany ;)
Yes, but how do you get support if there is an issue, particularly on a Kalkhoff, which has a unique exclusive supplier in the UK (it's not like you can go to some random shops for repairs).

If you have an issue with the electronics or the motor (I am not talking the standard mechanical components), how do you get it fixed in the UK? Or do you just ship 25kg of bike to Germany (and hope to get it back, in one piece)?

I would have no issues buying a bike from Germany if the parts were easily available in the UK, and many shops could do the repair...

I am also seriously considering the Integrale 8 as an upgrade from my current Wisper 905 Classic. Initially I was looking at the Blue Label Charger Nuvinci but have moved my thoughts more to the Kalkhoff as both the Impulse EVO drive and the larger battery would seem to leave the Bosch system on the Charger trailing somewhat, on paper anyway. I would want to have a test ride on the Integrale before making a decision on buying. Plus I would like to try and get a decent price for my Wisper in order to offset some of the not inconsiderable outlay. Do any of you experts out there have any advice re. the pros and cons of the Kalkhoff v. Blue Label options and also what benefits I can expect compared to my Wisper? Also any thoughts as to the best options for trying to sell an ebike other than the classifieds in the local paper. Never done any selling on eBay so not sure if this would be a good option or not.

I briefly tried Integrale at NEC show. The test track was a bit limited but it was still good to be able to have a go at so many different makes. Integrale was quieter than Bosch, Yamaha, Panasonic hub etc. It was a bit difficult to assess it properly due to a number of other (slightly noisier) ebikes on the track but I would say this one was barely audible. It was also a bit more powerful than the other ones I tried. It's way out of my budget though. If I remember correctly the maximum weight of luggage on the rear rack is 10kg - not an issue for most but would be for me, especially at this price. An integrated battery is a nice feature but not a deal breaker.
If you were thinking of NuVinci then I think KTM 2016 range will include Macina Nuvinci p5 which looks interesting unless you have ruled out Bosch.

I'm in a similar position. I bought a Wisper 705 but now have a hankering to move on. I like the R&M charger too and have looked at the Haibike sduro and xduro trekking models. So I'm following this thread with interest.
I too need to sell the Wisper to do the deal. Not sure what it's worth as its just a year old.
