The shifting down even in an emergency becomes automatic, plus if you can pick the right kind of shifters you can shift from low to top in one pedal rotation if needed.
The last time I got caught in the wrong gear with a derailleur was over a decade ago.

The main reason a throttle is not needed (unless the rider has a medical issue) as opposed to wanted is that millions of normal bikes work fine without them.

That is very impressive for a foldie, my Woosh Zephyr wouldn't manage that!

The secret was having a 30 amp controller, well above what most e-bikes have, theirs generally being in the 14 to 20 amp range. The current model has a 20 amp controller.

I was aware that throttles were illegal in some countries, just assumed a throttle was similar to a moped.
the main reason I wanted some form of ebike, I simply cannot get up anything that might be described as a hill, my legs ache and I have to stop.
my 3rd ride the other day (33 miles and tried some hills generally ok to see what range I could expect)

on the flat I just use a higher level of assist if need be, to get going, tried a local hill 1/3 mile 12% and had to rest my legs for a while because of the peddling.

found myself in an akward situation yesterday, a t junction on a slope and could not get going and found myself in the middle of the road , throttle seemed to take a while to respond luckily there was no traffic, I assume this is similar to what superDove found.

I can see myself getting stuck halfway up a hill in traffic because my legs rather than the ebikes climbing ability will let me down.

can someone advise if woosh sport cd has a full speed throttle (lcd display?) as I was considering this originally.

bit wary now as some of the routes I want to take are hilly narrowish and no footpaths or pavement.

The standard eZee controller is 20 amp and standard eZee battery is 36v.
eZee 25 amp controllers and 48v batteries are available.

Ok,but it is very possible that the ezee bike on the video is more than 20 amp.I belive so.But what do I know
