no the frame is made buy scott so id get on to the dealer asap and show him that pic with the cover as it will not last long at all where it is position wise on the frame, its the worst place a bearing could be exposed.

it could off why it has a cable tie in that pic holding it on, or it is still in the box, or just never came with one as loads of them have pics with out it there.

if you can get some plastic and cut it so is a snug fit over the bearing then put a small hole in the middle of it and use a long cable tie to secure it in place.

will not look to good but that bearing needs some sort of cover as any muck or water gets in there it will be finished in no time at all.

well the frame in the pic with the cover looks different to that bike in the link but i can not believe they are selling them like that with no cover at all for the bearing.

its not if its when it will fail as will not last long being exposed like that where it is you have 5 year warranty but you could be replacing that bearing every 3 months you will soon feel it when it has gone, crunch crunch ;)

id ring the shop or email them as scott need a fix for that asap as eddie says they will not last 5 mins and they will have to deal with all the warranty problems and with no cover at all it will be alot.

a rubber cover is cheaper than replacing 100s of bearings each month so its worth the shops while to get a fix from scott.

under that blue part is the bearings there is nothing to stop water and muck getting in there as is and will just pop off with a small screwdriver.

yes but you need to cover that bearing even if you have to chop the top part of that cover and cable tie it on for now.

or you will be forever having to replace them.
