How fast do you go on legal ebikes that are not derestricted?

Yes, so long as the motor cuts out.. in my experience you still get other cyclists moaning, they presume you have a max 15.5mph speed!

Depends on who's pedalling the road bike. Slow on my CX is 19mph, touring cruise at 22-24mph, can push beyond for short sprints. Only option is to pedal harder, but you will get drag from the motor... you can definitely feel it, you're likely to be working very hard to keep up.

Hey so I find it is generally a lot harder to pedal my bike now. Is that just the extra weight that is slowing me down or do you think the front hub is somehow slowing me down beyond just being extra weight? If you say you can go at 22-24 mph while touring isn't that with say an extra 20kgs of stuff while riding?

I have an old bike with the current cyclotricity 250W kit. It uses a road chain 53-11 (I think).

They say its not derestrictable so I'm wondering if theres anything I can do to overclock it.

It runs on a 36v battery so it should easily be able to do more than 15.5 mph.

I would say that on the (very rare) flat bits I can pedal at about 30-32 km/h on my very heavy bike if there is no wind.

its 3.1kg lighter than my bike so if you had a dongle would win a race on the flat.

and prob beat most kom on the flat but it would be close. over 30 miles and you got no chance ;)
