Hmm would be a bit paranoid about potentially damaging the bearing. The bike gets lots of abuse but is well maintained. Took it for 28 miles over the dales through all kinds of terrain climbed over 1000ft over limestone then through mud, streams etc pelted down with rain over the tops it just kept going and going when finally got back drenched through but smiling it still had 2 bars left on the battery the rain was that heavy that my sealskin gloves actually got soaked through never had that before and been out in some bad weather.

get a marsh guard and mount it backwards on the rear wheel as will help keep crud away from it.

very tempted with the wheels did you notice a big difference when you upgraded

mine came with the bike as it was £5500rrp but ir772 has just bought some and well got 1 rear on it atm lol.

there super light and strong and ebike rated as well it will also give the option for 11spd if you wanted to upgrade the drive chain.

the more waight you can take off the more range you will get them wheels are a bargin at that price and wont be in stock long as you will not get more for ur bucks than them at that price.

for this years ones are a grand a pair ;(

That's a bit of a design oversight by Bosch. If you look, there's two holes in the side-cover for the electrical wires to come through, and the cover sits nice and tight to the motor, but when you have a dropper-post, the cable has to be squeezed into one of those holes. Unfortunately, there isn't enough room for it, so it holds the cover away from the motor with a rather ugly gap that lets in all the muddy water, which then fills up inside the cover.

Also, if you look at OP's cover, it also looks like it's being held off because the furthest cable back isn't routed properly. It must be trapped between the cover and the motor. the cover should be flush to the motor.
