As you might know, I've got the Woosh Sirocco CD on loan from Woosh. Someone asked about the internal drive system, so, as I had a bit of time to spare, I decided to open the main part of the motor to see how it worked and get some photos. The cover was a bit stuck, so I gave a good heave and as it came off, the bike fell over and some of the internals fell out. There's lots of spacers/shims etc and a rather complicated clutch, and I cant figure out how the correct assembly sequence.

The motor is made by TCM, but I can't find any trace of them from a Google search. Does anybody know who/where they are so that I can ask them for a schematic. I've got to get this thing back together before Redbridge or I'll be in Hatti's bad book.

Hmmmmm. BIG problem D8veh.
Already run out and you've just scuppered our demo.
NOW what are we going to do?
I am going to have to put my thinking cap on.

I was up very late last night (early this morning) and I've tried a few permutations. I managed to get it back together, but the pedals go round with the motor now, so something's not quite right. You can ride it like that, so you could have something for Redbridge. it's just that you can't stop pedalling.

tbh not sure if it'll help but *might* be of use??

I'm sure i saw a photo thread somewhere where someone had dismantled a tonaro engine but canna find it :(

as for the pedels going round that'll be the clutch? - maybe something in the wrong way round?

very best of luck :)

Unfortunately I didn't get any photos. My Samsung Galaxy S2 got an automatic upgrade to Android 4.1.2. Since then, it gets red hot and the battery goes flat in half an hour. Sometimes it goes so flat that you can't get it to start again, so I have to swap batteries with my friend's phone. The draw on the battery seems to go higher than what the charger can give to get it going. So if anybody has got a fix for that, please let me know. it's rendered the phone useless. It's something todo with media that's going all the time. I've done a "force stop" and I've disabled it, but it starts up again all by itself.
The phone was working last night, and I was hoping to take photos during dismantling, but never got the chance because everyting fell out and then I started panicing. Now the phone's packed up again. I'll have to go over to Saneagle again when he gets back from his boot-sale pilgrimage so that I can swap batteries again..

Dave, not sure if it's an April fool or otherwise, but if it's genuine there is some useful info on your PM about the TCM motor. By the way,I dreamed up the TCM reference and now it seems to being used by everyone,I have no problem with that.
You had correctly pointed out that the TCM motor used in the Woosh bike is the same as used in the Ibex bike,it would have been obvious to all at Redbridge.
If I can help further please let me know.

Perhaps Dave at Kudos could dis-assemble one of his motors and post a series of photographs to show the correct assembly sequence.

Well, D8veh had me fooled for a while....but the irritable reply was AFTER I found out it was all a joke.
Yes, we've both been stringing you all along. Hee hee!!! As Lynda said, its very unlikely D8veh would need any schematics.....he could probably get an electric bike to go to the moon and back (now there's a thought when you all run out of nice places to ride, its just the lack of actual road that might be a problem).

Hope to see lots of you at Redbridge.
