Hey all,

so I stripped down and rewired the old Powabyke X-6 that I bought, works quite well, throttle needed a little love and attention and still seems to only have a very small sweet spot where the power really kicks in (is this normal for the 5 pin connector types?).
So far I've racked up about 112miles a week commuting to my workplace for the past three weeks.

Unfortunately this is along a canal path cycle route which is badly maintained, essentially it swaps terrain types every couple of miles with the first type being a shaky, bone jarring hell and the second type making me wish I was back on the first type.

I have adjusted just about everything I can to set my cycling position where it is the most comfortable/efficient but the lack of any kind of suspension is destroying my enthusiasm for the journey and possibly my gentleman vegetables.

I am limited with the disposable income I can spend on a new bike at this moment and would like, if possible, for you far more experienced e-bikers to give me a 'no holds barred' evaluation of a Cyclotricity revolver over a Greenedge cs2.
I realise the zoom suspension systems on both aren't exactly the greatest but my bruised man fruit and I are very much of the opinion that some is better than none.

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice on this matter,
Noob.

the cheapest solution is the posh Suntour NCX seat post.
About £45 from Woosh.

Thanks Trex, I may give one of these a bash, worst comes to worst I can transfer it over to the new bike.

Comparable to the CS2 for similar money have a look at the Vita uno from LEBC, has Suntour forks which will be better then zoom ones.

Hi
Just to let you know the guy from LEBC told me in a email that the vita uno will only do 6kph on the throttle, and He was not sure if there was a way to increase this, but I do like the look of the bike.

That 'guy' was me, if anyone can shed some light on how to deristrict the thumb throttle on my Vita Uno I'd be interested.

You can change it on any bike if you have the knowhow and equipment, or you can simply change the controller to one that's programmed for full throttle.

NCX clamp length is 42mm so will fit any saddle rail.

Thanks for the info. I read a review where it stated that certain rails tubbed on the bracket causing wear. But maybe that was just an unlucky combination of post and saddle.

I have tried 3 different makes of saddle and they all posed no problems.

I had to spread the seat runners on my Brooks B17 to give clearance to fit a Suntour SP12-NCX suspension seat post, definitely not a job to be undertaken lightly.
Luckily the rails and welds are very strong so no damage to the saddle.

You can get cheaper copies of the Brooks B67. Have a look at this one:

http://www.juicybike.co.uk/electric-bikes/accessories/leather-saddle

We haven't heard from Juicy for a while. Bob, come and say hello if you still read the forum, just o that we know you're OK.
Fret Not Dave - We're still here! Busy as ever.
I tend not to post so much these days as I feel the forums are a little overwhelmed by the traders in their many guises. Looking forward to seeing friends at the NEC show this year. Do say hello and bring coffee...

Anything buy the brooks range then hopefully ;-)

Any Suggestions of saddles less than £40?
Spa Cycles of Harrogate do very good Brooks copies that are really just as comfortable and the leather quality is 95% as good. I have both. The only difference is the lack of hand finishing which is slightly misleading anyway. They're under half the price and get very good reviews on bike sites. I bought a Nidd for £35 a year or so ago and its broken in very well.

Thanks for the info. Just looked at the nidd and read the good review. Do you spend a lot of time in the saddle? And do you wear cycling shorts/padded?

Could look good on my all black build im working on :)
