Nicco Rosberg actually designed my bike and yes he does have one, although I doubt he had to pay for it :)

Both he and Michael Schumacher were the first to own the Mercedes designer Smart eBike. Its clear that the owners of these machines are smart people with high standards, and eye for detail and cool as a cucumber :)

You really are a sucker for marketing aren’t you…

Rosberg keeps his at home in Monaco and uses it to pop down to the corner shop when his wife runs out of milk.

Predictable response, but you are mistaken if you think the likes of Rosberg regard having to do publicity shots like that as anything other than a chore.

The type of bike is irrelevant, I would say just the same if they were made to pose on one of my bikes.
He helped design the bike and guess he was so excited to see the finished product, the bike is so cool in looks and owners, thats what stands it miles apart from nearly all other eBikes!

I have difficulty to see why the designer went for a heavy rear DD motor while keeping the front so much lighter. Wouldn't it be better to balance the rear weight with a 2.5kg suspension fork?

Rosberg and Schumacher where presented with their bikes on March 2, 2012. Probably the first time either one saw the bikes. Probably the last time as for some reason I have never seen them or anyone on a smart bike during coverage of practice, qualifying, or race day. You'd think they would be leaning against the garage wall ready for Rosberg, Hamilton and the rest of the team to scoot about on.

As for Roseberg helping in the design, the marketing and advertisers for Mercedes certainly missed the boat when it came to using his name in that way for promotion. I can't seem to find anything other than the pictures of him on a bike in an otherwise empty race/testing facility.

Where in either of these two links does it refer to Rosberg designing your Smart ebike or anyone else's? The first link does refer to Rosberg and Schumacher owning the first bikes but we already knew that. As for further info of this bike, I rode one that was being used for a universitie's green living project. It was a nice bike, quiet with average power and not worth the then lofty price tag.

I can't find reference either, maybe the salesman got confused or I misheard him, all I had was the pictures I posted. Anyway it seems that the design was by a well renowned frame designer and the end product is stunning. I guess you rode the 200 watt model, mine is 250 watt so I would guess the extra 50 makes a difference, I do find it does everything within the UK current law I could ask for.

We need to be clear that this is NOT a racing bike, it is a stylish way of getting from A - B with great range (62 miles quoted), its not an off roader nor does it pretend to be, more a city /touring bike, for me its about getting around St Tropez and surrounding areas, up to Port Grimaud, Grimaud village, Sainte Maxime and beyond, perhaps even up to Plan de la Tour. I spend 5 weeks out there every year so this will extend my range on my old knees, really looking forward to it.

"We" do not have to be clear about anything as I never said or infered that it was a racing bike. It's a restricted ebike like a lot of others of similar or better quality.

I was not referring to you about that but to others wanting a race :)

I agree that I would not have paid £2,500 for it when it was launched in 2012, this year it is coming to the end of its run I think and the price has been reduced to £1,800, I thought that was reasonable for the uniqueness and top spec, but I think at the price I bought it at from Germany albeit unknown at time of purchase and only when the Euro was converted to £s at £1,069, I thought that was a bargain. There are a few left at that price and that is what I was sharing on here should it fit in with anyones requirements ;)

I'm not a commuter, I'm retired and potter about, but I think it would be a great city commuter bike, although everyone asks what it is even at traffic lights (other cyclists) so you need to leave more time for your journey :)

He hasn’t wound me up. He’s bored me.

Anyone can post drivel like this and some who do are even funny, but he isn’t one of them.

Can we please keep on topic, it seems some riff raff bullies are trying to take the thread off on tangents, this is neither good for the thread starter or those that are actually interested in the educational content!!!!

For those that have been embarrassed and shown up for lack of knowledge on the subject, could you please go and find another thread to play in, preferably NOT one of my Daimler Mercedes Smart eBike stunning sleek machine threads. Thanks ;)

You obviously don't understand English as written in my last post so I have taken a guess and offered 3 different languages below, one of which you may understand ;)

Zulu:
Singamjabulisa siqhubeke sihloko , kubonakala ezinye iziqhwaga Riff raff zizama ukuthatha intambo off on tangents , lokhu akakhulumanga okuhle for the ukuziqalela intambo noma labo abangabafelokazi ngempela unesithakazelo okuqukethwe zemfundo !!!!

But with your arrogance I guess its Russian:
Можем ли мы , пожалуйста держите на тему , кажется, некоторые Riff Raff задиры пытаются взять нить с по касательным , это ни хорошо для Автор или те, которые на самом деле заинтересованы в содержании образования !!!!

Для тех, кто был смущен и показано на отсутствие знаний по этому вопросу, не могли бы вы пойти и найти другой поток , чтобы играть в , предпочтительно не один из моих Daimler Mercedes Умный Ebike потрясающим гладкий нитей машины. Спасибо
