We should see these through early spring - Feb/March time.
We are taking deposits to secure particular models to meet demand.

A nice mix of bikes, a couple of well specc'd full suss'ers that fill a big gap in the market over here, and a decent 29'er that should be good on and off the road, ideal for commuters that also want to have a little fun at the weekend on the rough stuff!

No trekking?

No trekking?
Eddie,

No trekking I'm afraid.
However as this will sit alongside our Raleigh eBike range in-store, it all works as we have the Dover/Leeds that ticks the trekking box. That said I think the 29'er will be a good option for a modern commuter looking for a bike with a bit of style, there's no reason why mudguards and a rack cant be added! And with the big wheel will roll well on the road.

Martin, great set of bikes for off road use, really look forward to trying one at Redbridge. However,I agree with Eddie (now there's a first!) I am surprised that you haven't included a trekking bike for principally road use and the odd bridleway-not everybody wants to go off road.

the eQ Xduro FS RX is the MTB I guess and not the Pro? seems a bit expensive if talking about same model....I have seen it for £3257 (3999 €)

all seem a bit expensive to be honest

Suddenly, the older (current) model, on clearance reduction from Justebikes seems like a gift at c£2300. I'm sure most people could live with the 8Ah battery, especially as it can be recharged so quickly.

Welcome to rip off Britain Eddie (Oh and Im pretty certain Raleigh have added there slice to the pie).

So its buy from Germany with no support and back up etc or pay the UK price.

oh and to be fair the Haibike eQ Xduro FS All Mountain is 4599€ on that site bringing it a bit closer to UK Price

Hello Dave,

As mentioned above the bikes sit alongside our Raleigh eBikes which cover the trekking market. Its also important not to dilute the range too much. Including sizes that's 10 bikes to cover.

Also looking forward to the Redbridge event. Lets hope its a nice day! :)

Eddie,

Little confused as both the FS RX & the FS RX Pro are not models listed above..
They actually sit either side of the FS All Mountain.

As for the prices, you have to bear in mind the link you provided is a German site. (It doesn't actually allow you to buy the stated models on-line at all, maybe you will have to phone them up and put on your best German accent?)
Obviously the UK prices reflect the fact that the bike can be bought over here, good dealer support/back-up and warranty. Basically you will be looked after, which for someone spending £4K on a bike generally wants.

justebikes managed to sell at around German prices..the fact that you have another mouth to feed with a UK distributer eating into the cake would certainly put me of...

the link was to Dutch dealer as he is a member over on German pedelec so easy to find. and yes I have spoken to him in the past and no problem getting a bike from him. we are for now, still members of an open market after all.... cant find much on 2013 bikes elsewhere but all the German dealers advertise on German ebay..that is where I would shop

EBCO manage to supply AVE bosch bikes through dealerships here at German prices. and with exchange rates in our favour, it laughable to expect us to pay more...

just look at barrys circa 2K 2013 KTM bike with XT and new 400 Ah battery he received yesterday...you wont get many if any on here willing to pay 4K for a bike let alone half that...

I see amazon are selling kettler bosch bikes over the £1650 mark
I noticed amazon link to haibike as well...hopefully no one buying anything from that bunch!

To my mind if you want UK..then its AVE, if happy to buy from Germany KTM for value, or anything else for that matter is going to be cheaper then buying raleigh product here.......

Garry, support will probably be better,...will just mean posting it back. Via company courier. But that will only be if a serious failure, anyway Bosch supposedly opening a service centre here

Just to confirm, are you saying that this bike will take a set of full length front and rear mudguards (not those seat post mounted slash protector things), and a rack suitable for carrying a set of panniers? From my point of view, these things are essential on a bike which is to be used for commuting.

So whats the betting that even if there is a service centre it will only be for UK purchased bikes ??

also that covers the motor system not the whole bike.

Personally dont like the idea of having to send a item back to germany every time there is a issue (I accept might never be any)

Actually just realised my TWO Neos bought in UK with proper UK support have cost me £750 less than a single UK sourced Haibike eQ Xduro FS All Mountain . Dont care how much better the components are on the Haibike are I know which is the better deal (and I have still got the £750 to spend on upgrades if I want). Of couse I know you wont agree :D

For now Garry we are still in a open market and warrenty Europe wide. If I can only get the bike I want at decent price from Germany that is what I would do....you would probably get it back quicker also in the event of a catastrophic failure but being an optimist I'm certainly not worried. Look at spec on Barry's 2013 model KTM bike for 2k delivered...it's a no brainer

A very peculiar justification for your choices......makes little sense to me I'm afraid

Knew you wouldnt get it

It wasnt meant as a justification but as a statement of a fact.
