it's not a problem using one brand or the other. You would not have the choice in most cases, the LCD is selected for your kit by your supplier. Chinese e-bikes have mostly King Meter LCDs or LED panels, that makes King Meter most popular. The 800S is larger than the KT LCD3 and the King Meter J-LCD, suitable to be mounted in the centre of the handlebars but smaller than the C695 from King Meter. You can find all these brands on aliexpress.

You can get going with just connecting the motor to the battery, LCD and speed sensor. The rest can be fitted later. The main difference with the BBS01 is the throttle. If you need the same thumb throttle as woosh supply with the BBS01, email andy@woosh.

Mine arrived today GSM motor fitted but that's all, not sure about the grips /twist grip but have a spare BBS thumb throttle so may use that as noticed the plug is the same. The brake cut offs are 2 pin the BBS are 3 so can't use BBS sensor, they are the same as the Big Bear ones with the same mirco switch, out to cut motor off and in for it to work. Other wise the kit is a copy of the BBS but cheaper.
What's the red button for on the twist grip Kirstin ?

the red button is the on/off for the throttle. In= throttle on, out = throttle off

I went for the thumb throttle. I prefer them generally. And think on a trail bike it makes more sense than a wobbly grip!

really,it will be harder for me to compare as I fitted a 350w version on my previous build.

My GSM kit came with a twist throttle I prefer a thumb throttle but I was not given that option on the checkout, or did I miss it.

Oh no, all I did was charge battery overnight and this morning I have error code 2e (protect controller)

Tried all connections but seem perfectly sound

:(

the built in controller expects to see 36V-42V. Did you connect your battery booster?

Yes, tried both my 36v packs which were reading 41 and 41.5v respectively. Not over volted or anything like that with boosters. Just a plain old dolphin 36v

No joy, put one on my hybrid to get to work

Not a battery issue

that's what I like about the King Meter's LCDs. They are easy to understand and use and still programmable with a programming lead.

Mmmm, although I asked woosh for a notification of the release of the gsm kit I've not received an email. I was going to convert my other half's MTB with the gsm kit but clearly there are some teething troubles so I will wait to see how these issues are resolved before I take the plunge.

Very odd fault. Pas or throttle on startup is fine but either after a few hundred metres or after a stop and start the error occours

Turn off and on again. All fine. Briefly.

Andy @woosh has been fantastic. They will replace the whole kit and test my one.

Cannot say fairer than that

Has anyone noticed that the chaincase screw in the 10 o'clock position is very loose, if so is there a reason? I have the twistgrip & want to fit grips with built in bar ends. I was thinking about sawing off most of the grip & bonding on a thumb lever but this would still take up a fair bit of space on the bars. How wide is the thumb throttle for the bbs01?
