Come on Flecc....it blends in a lot better on the Tonaro and the point is he actually made a choice to put it where he did.....us Tonaro owners have no choice.....although the one on my Esprit is much less erect....obviously lol ....I AM a lady :) ....and whats more I even made it a designer knitted jumper to lessen any inappropriate comments :D :D

It is interesting Eddie!
You are not wrong there David....it certainly is a very interesting bike...unique (at the moment ) being a crank drive WITH throttle.....a decent bit of kit at the price, try one you may be very pleasantly surprised....and Im sure you will agree that beauty is always in the eye of the beholder ....which in lots and lots of cases is just as well eh ;)

BTW....when IS the daahub being released again here.....or isnt it ?

Thank God beauty is in the eye of the beholder Lynda.......... or I certainly would still be single!

Re DaaHub, it is safest to say it will not be released in the UK or Europe, however if that changes the good folk of the forum would be the first to know!

All the best

David

With the shadow, the battery looks like a golliwog that's been punched in the eye. Call the PC police!

From the man with a shed load of junk.....Or is that living room, if you can call that living
Eddie,

I am all for a but of fun, banter and mickey taking, but I don't think you realise how much your remarks offend people.

D8veh for example is a highly skilled, creative and knowledgeable contributor to the forum and does not deserve your insults, it is just not funny or entertaining.

I think you need to think more carefully before posting remarks like those you have made in this thread.

The problem is that every one, thankfully has their own choices.
I find the Tonaro Bighit a really exciting looking, tough, semi military piece of kit that won't take any s..t.
Eddio seems to prefer that dainty, 1890's style.
Each to his own.

Notwithstanding the merits or otherwise of manufacturing ones product in one place or another, I believe the title of this thread made for a light hearted jibe at some of the more inflexible attitudes that appear on this forum from time to time.

We are all different, there would be little point in reading any forum if all members perspectives were identical. It is the differing tastes that make the forum so valuable as an information source on a topic we all hold in high esteem, namely E-Bikes. 'Vive la difference' as they say.

But none of these things are done justice where the experience is sullied with unnecessary slurs aimed at sundry members, with constant references to "Turdaro" and other similar prejudiced edicts, it's just plain rude and bad manners.

There is a world of difference between some good natured jovial banter, and a tirade of inappropriate derogatry insinuations. We all like our e-bikes I guess, whatever we ride, and I do hope we can all continue to celebrate them all in good humour.

Surely, we should all endeavour to be 'civilised', both in this forum and anywhere else in life, and I think the best definition of a 'civilised' society is the respect we grant the minority interests amongst us.

That way, everyone is happy.

Rant over, sorry!

It could equally be showing that the young man rode the bike to China to demonstrate it's German made quality and as a statement that a Chinese bike probably wouldn't achieve the same. :p
Flecc, now I wouldn't have thought of that,so what do you think his route would be Berlin>Beijing, with a mere 1200 miles onto Shanghai,or Berlin across the polar ice cap and down past Vladivostock, only 3000 miles further to go that way. Now that would be an adventure, battery recharge points numerate on either route.
Seriously what is a Grace bike doing in Shanghai?

I have a great bike in the specialised crosstrail ltd disc, and can't see any kit from you, or anyone else that could perform or do better or be as practical (battery easy to remove)
I see we are back to the childish nonsense that you lot of bottom feeders spouted when I first introduced the bike on here.......I also like the BioniX and yes it is better looking

What a bunch.......not one of you have a desirable bike IMO
Eddie,
You go to far,
We are not a bunch, we have all got desireable bikes and the proof is that lots of pople buy them.
We are not bottom feeders.
And, I don't like your bike one bit.
Haemorrhoid saddle, handlebars too far forward and likely to cause wrist problems, no mudguards and painted East German Red!
Learn to relax a bit and accept that your opinion is just one of very many.

Your the one who kicked it all off mr kit...it is you who should behave. As for defending a man who constantly encourages illegal bike use and considers comments regards golliwogs humorous ?
