I figured out how to list my bike. You can't add it from a phone app. took a bit of figuring out.
It has nothing to do with the bike choice, instead of listing the activity as ride it needs to be listed as e-bike. The choice is yours of course.

Phill I see that the two rides you posted are now flagged even though you're no where near the top of the leader board, That shows the mentality that Strava users have who read the forum.
I looked to compare the USA with Yorkshire and Derbyshire. There are far more Strava users here in the UK than the US.

This one has had a fair few attempts, that 9-year-old girl I rode up with on Sunday would be 165th in the women out of 663 riders, not bad for a first attempt into a headwind. 11,184 riders in total.

Oh and this is how to do it style :)

I don't understand.. just looked and can't see any difference. What does the flag look like and what difference does it make?
I could still see your rides, if they were private as you say I'd have got a message saying this activity does not exist.
A flag puts a red banner across your activity and says this activity has been flagged and removes your times from any leader board.
Rides usually get flagged by the holders of KOM's that have been taken, sometimes people keep the Strava running whilst travelling in a car, so correctly if the user doesn't correct it they can be flagged. Clearly yours have been flagged as a direct result of being posted in this thread.

I once had a ride auto flag when uploaded to Strava because it was that fast.

Still don't understand. Both rides are still there. No red banners and leader boards are still there. As I say not at all bothered as long as my totals stay intact.
I have been thinking about flagging some rides or segments myself.
I chat with walkers with kids on the towpath who are not happy about those that are riding full pelt chasing the koms. I don't think it should be allowed on shared paths.

Strava doesn't interest me for "I'm faster than you" or times but for the stats on power and gradients. I haven't used it and probably won't because my Watt meter and Oruxmaps give me the information I need to calculate if my battery will take me where I need to go. And especially if it will bring me home.

Yesterdays ride was very comforting because I used near the mythical average 7.5 W/km while climbing over 1200 metres and with a climb of 8 km at an average of 6%.
