Yes it is. You don't get lipos (LiCO) in ebike batteries unless you made it yourself.With 'Lithium Ion' and 'Lithium Polymer' pack cells looking so simular, is it wise to always assume the pack was assembled with the safer 'Lithium Ion' type ?
Lithium Polymer and Lithium-Ion are only general terms with no real meaning in the general sense. Many ebike batteries are technically both. It's the exact chemistry that's important. What's in RC batteries is very volatile and only gives half the life of a typical ebike battery.
People here are getting confused between the two because Lithium Polymer is written on some ebike batteries and you can get both in pouch form. That doesn't mean that it's full of "lipos" used for RC models. The pouches in ebike batteries are normally the weakest and least volatile types of Lithium cells.
