I bought a Freego eagle bike 6 months ago and the firm has gone bust I need a motor controller yurn lang model no yp-10-385(1) looks like I will have to replace the electrics and rear26inch wheel it is a twist and go any ideas?
The motor controller is reasonably cheap 1st option feel new electrics and rear wheel needed battery holds charge 42 volts since before xmasWhat makes you think you need to replace the controller? They are generally fairly robust unless water damaged.
Does the bike not turn on? is it only 6 months old?The motor controller is reasonably cheap

Yes all connections are goodAs a rough rule, I would say controllers either work or they don't. Is the bike still running? Your symptoms sound like it could be a wiring/connection problem. Have you checked them all? If you have the large rectangular connector on the chainstay from the motor, have a look inside that. They can overheat and melt causing bad connection.
Thanks for your reply the firm has gone bust and some one gave me the administrator's no in a week they think i may be able to get parts many thanks Petehi Peter I recently had problem where my 6yr Eagle just stopped working. Took it in for repair and they replaced controller but that didn't solve it. After fitting a new wiring loom it still didn't work. In the end it went back to Freego and it was eventually found that it was something to do with the pedal sensor not matching with the controller. So what I am saying is that it may not solve the problem just by changing the controller. If you are located anywhere near Rotherham I took mine to South Yorks Electric Bikes so they have an insight into the problems. One other thing to mention is that although the bike now works fine the changes seem to have altered how the bike handles the power. ie originally I could ride comfortably on power 2 but after change to get same effect needed to use no3. I may be wrong but it doesn't seem to drain the battery as quick so maybe it is a lower power controller.
Yes it does think they have triacs for speed and power and their lies the problem PeteDoes the bike behave the same on throttle and pedal assist?
