What makes you think you need to replace the controller? They are generally fairly robust unless water damaged.

Not an after market one but like most even Luishi they are only OEM supplied ususally.

The controller is made by Nanjing Yuanlang electronic.

In the case of needing to change the electronics then you will likely only need to swap out controller and lcd if used, motor wheel should/will work with any controller. The motor pin connector is/should be a standard 3 or 9 pin julet which all hubs use.
If you have analogue LED then you only need change controller, identifying wire connections should be easy on your set up so just a case of connecting a new controller like for like. Wire connectors may need changing so some soldering/crimping will be required. Most common easily sourced controller is the Kuenteng range (KT).

In the event that you end up down this route post a pic of your controller wiring.

As a rough rule, I would say controllers either work or they don't. Is the bike still running? Your symptoms sound like it could be a wiring/connection problem. Have you checked them all? If you have the large rectangular connector on the chainstay from the motor, have a look inside that. They can overheat and melt causing bad connection.

When the LED control panel doesn't switch on, it's because it isn't getting anything from the battery. Use a voltmeter to measure the volts between the black and red wires on its connector. If your battery is 42v you should see 42v there, otherwise you have to find where the battery supply is broken.

hi Peter I recently had problem where my 6yr Eagle just stopped working. Took it in for repair and they replaced controller but that didn't solve it. After fitting a new wiring loom it still didn't work. In the end it went back to Freego and it was eventually found that it was something to do with the pedal sensor not matching with the controller. So what I am saying is that it may not solve the problem just by changing the controller. If you are located anywhere near Rotherham I took mine to South Yorks Electric Bikes so they have an insight into the problems. One other thing to mention is that although the bike now works fine the changes seem to have altered how the bike handles the power. ie originally I could ride comfortably on power 2 but after change to get same effect needed to use no3. I may be wrong but it doesn't seem to drain the battery as quick so maybe it is a lower power controller.
