Yes I will try to locate the controller soon. But got so many other jobs on too. So when I locate it I will let you all know what’s on itLet's not think about new batteries just yet, there are several options you could take. I was just pointing out that the Erider one is not great value for money. Take a few steps back, you need to find the controller and establish it's current rating.
If you do buy a new battery, you could keep it and carry it in the back box fully charged. Then if you do run out anytime it will get you home without pushing. Also what do I now do with the battery I have now

The latter, in the back box/helmet box/under seat. Until you got used to the range with a new battery, it would be an insurance against running out and pushing. You mean connect new battery to moped if I got one, then this one place in box beside other for a back up one, yes thats if there will be room for 2 batteries, But then I could always place it under seat or back box
Looks like the throttle has been replaced on the bike at some point, the lock is part of this. As you have another switch, there is no need to use this one.Would anyone here know what this other key slot is for on right handle bar. I don't know if that's by ERider part or someone fitted it. but I don't have a key for that one either or that back brake one. But the rear brake isn't expensive well cheap
Yes I will take spare battery, with me if I go on a long trip. always comes in handy. it does seem I'm going to have to buy a new battery. to match the controller. But where to find the cheapest place I don't know. I use AliExpress. so Probably from them. But depends if there shipping is way too much, as when I bought a 24V lithium from there for my electric bike. which you guys helped me to change it from 2 x 12V SLA ones to 1 lithium, I don't remember paying shipping cost then, But think it was just over £100. then also I would have to make sure the lead to the discharge is 3 pin, and from BMS a dc jack plugThe latter, in the back box/helmet box/under seat. Or you could use it as a range extender, allowing occasional longer runs using both batteries. I've ridden pedelecs with up to three batteries allowing hours of run time. You now know that battery is good, just not a big enough capacity for the moped to perform as well as it could.

If you say you think the throttle has been replaced so that could be a throttle lock then. but what's that meter above it for. looks like maybe a mileage meter.Looks like the throttle has been replaced on the bike at some point, the lock is part of this. It's a power on/off switch/lock for the controller, the display shows battery voltage, neither would appear to be connected. If you say you think the throttle has been replaced so that could be a throttle lock then. but what's that meter above it for. looks like maybe a mileage meter.

You may need access to the BMS again, so maybe a single piece of tape over the area you have cut would be a good idea.

I had an idea I would have to purchase a new battery, But where from I dont know. so I need a 48V 20Ah 30Amp batteryThere you go no wonder scooter cuts out, controller is 25a rated and trying to draw that out of a 15a max rated battery. You need to up your price for a battery, one that can supply with a bit of a head margin 30a.
No need to change it as it matters not what colour the nylon insulator is on the end of the jack plug , it won't make the charger charge differently.
How long did you connect the new one for ?
thanks so much as its now just turned to green so it must have dropped down a good bit in 2 months but Im glad its gone to green now. as I will be selling electric bike once I have sorted moped, at least it will help towards a new battery for mopedNealh said No need to change it as it matters not what colour the nylon insulator is on the end of the jack plug , it won't make the charger charge differently.
Wouldn't surprise me that he is a local toe rag selling nicked stuff, it is highly likely yours is nicked as well hence the problem's with the battery and with the dodgy seller.I forgot to show you guys, but the 2nd time I went to sellers house, to see if I can get any joy like maybe full refund or even money towards a new battery say like £100 I would have been happy, but its quite clear he had also done someone else down on a moped, as there was this note on his door, saying persons, well in my eye persons is more than 1. he says in note He isn't a well man, and also He says at end that he lost his father recently. Well I lost my lovely sister in January age just 71 to Covid. and if he didn't want people coming to his door, well he shouldn't have sold bad goods. or at least do the decent thing and refund people, as he has brought all this on himself
whats a lifepo4 battery packThe price of the Liitokala is a bit cheap but guess China brand cells are used, at sub £2 each. Others have bought and used them so think they should be ok.
The weigh at 3.65kg is about right for 52 x 21700cells and a BMS, the important bit is the 30a continuous rating.
Don't forget you want one with the correct discharge connector unless you decide to change one of them.
