Nice one SW. I actually have some mouldable plastic, but have just been too lazy to do anything about it. :)

This short crap clip was from yesterday evening, and trying to follow the sticks on the ground to pick out the route isn't getting any easier. :D
You can't tell from this, but I nearly took a tumble at about the 3.07 point, when my handlebar and shoulder hit a tree on the way past.

Forgive the music, I did just have the mic on, but swapped camera position, and the cables kept hitting the camera, and made a noise worse than the music.

Are the sticks on the ground the result of your loppers?

It seems to be a busy week. Riding yesterday evening, riding this evening after work on the South Downs, and out for an organised mtb ride tomorrow evening.

This evenings ride was pretty good. Sunshine, no wind, and hardly any other people out and about.

One of the joys of riding bridleways on the SD at this time of year. Especially when you are wearing short sleeves and shorts!

Guess who slipped on the wet chalk! I should have known better.

Certainly nice to see blue sky.

This might also be the last ride on the full suspension bike until the Swiss trip in just under three weeks time. I need to pull it down and give it a thorough service.

Well that is another evening of fun out of the way. :)

Tonight was the monthly organised mtb ride out from my mates cycle shop, and I very nearly passed it by, as the cuts on my knee from yesterday have turned into a nasty infected mess. The joys of sharp flint cuts, and the mix of cows/sheep poo entering the cuts. Happy days!

Anyway, the ride was very good and offered some very fast and technical down hill routes, with the usual amount of climbing back up again. There was new lad out with us tonight who wasn't as fit, so I kindly gave up the KTM for him to use on the climbs.
Oddly I got a bit of flak over it by one rider, which I found very strange. The lad has to start somewhere, and by being helpful, he will hopefully come out again. For some reason people forget that they were once the slow unfit person. It also done me some good, as it helped prove to me that I am fitter than I had thought, and was actually keeping my pace down on the climbs on the pedal mtb.

I have to work at the base of the South Downs again on Saturday, so I might well take the bike along again, and head off into the sunset. I should really get out tomorrow evening as well, to make a full week of evening rides. :)
I kind of want to get my fitness levels up a bit, in readiness for the Swiss trip.

Sadly no bike photos tonight, just the sunset from the house as I returned home. Not a bad view to have. :)

11.2 miles round Mortimers Forest yesterday evening. Climbed to the top of the High Vinnells. 1230ft took longer than usual as we had a non assisted biker with us. Photo at the top.
Vid of me taking a tumble and glad to have not fallen into stingers!

Thanks SW, already ahead of you on that one. I needed to order up a couple sets of brake pads and another chain for the Swiss trip, so ordered up a pair of 2016 Dainese Trail Skins Knee Guard at the same time. :)

I'll probably also get some elbow pads before leaving for the Swiss trip, but want to research them a bit first.

After last years little incident, I don't want to risk spoiling a whole holiday for the sake of spending a few quid.
