I did go on a balanced eating regime last year: plenty of water, lots of green leafy & coloured veg, lentils, small amount of mixed nuts and steamed fish, little meat. I lost weight (about 1 stone per month) but I started suffering multiple migraine episodes every day (visual aura followed by the most awful headaches) so gave up after about three months!! Doctor didn't have a clue.
I'd like to preface this post by pointing out that I'm not a Doctor - I'm just some mug on a message board on the internet. Consulting a genuine Quack will help you far more, and a specialist weight loss quack would be best.
Well done for doing that! It takes a huge amount of effort and willpower to make those dietary changes! Rapid decreases to bodyweight can cause problems - Gout, just to name one:

Losing a stone a month is extremely rapid! Too rapid. We're not machines, our bodies need to adjust and overall, that was likely far too much change for your body to cope with, all at once. Migraines are very strange occurances and the causes difficult to pin down: Did your Doctor do a blood test? Could you have been low in vitamin B12? Sometimes people drink far too much water and that reduces (among other important things) sodium, which can cause problems. If I were in the same position and found that diet otherwise workable, I'd commit to a couple of days a week on it, and slowly increase or decrease the days later on, as needed, for a more gradual weight loss trajectory. Consistently losing a couple of pounds a week will still get you there. The great thing about intermittent fasting is that the composition of your diet doesn't have to change. It's still best to ask your Doctor before trying any new diet.
