TBH I am not sure what the video was actually showing....

its just how to drop the motor on the giant bikes as bit different to other Yamaha motors.

also when you get the bike can you ask how much a 500w batt is and if it will fit on other make bikes as i dont think it will.?

Why would I want it to fit on other makes of bikes? My situation is such that I can't be away from home for extended periods so 1 500with should be more than ample.

you cant get a 500w Yamaha batt yet as its only on the giant bikes iv seen so far.

just wondered if that batt will fit on other Yamaha bikes as a upgrade option ;)

lets just hope they dont charge a fortune for it then as a normal one is 600 or 500 in germany.

2 years or might also be with how many charge cycles its done, best to ask the shop when you get it.

The local Giant dealership are building a road e+ bike up from stock just in and i`m having a look at it this week.
The drop bars and road bike design appeals to me and the price is reasonable compared to the Haibike version.
I have no experience of the Yamaha motor but it is the latest X version with the 80nm torque rating and larger battery capacity.

I was well impressed. Didn't have my size so it's on order.

that motor will tear that hub to bits unless its been turned down like they had to do on the bosch motors.

I bought a genesis mtb with alfine 11 hub and it was forever needing fine adjusting. It would jump under heavy load (legs only) and skip gears. It was never ever running trouble free so would not have another
