Agreed. But...If we don't believe in freedom of expression for all, then we don't believe in it at all.
Yes, price constraints. In an ideal world we would all be able to buy three of the best available, but in practice, for all but a few people - that would be impossible. What always surprises me is how people expect something that costs very little should be so reliable.
I understand that money constraints are an important factor on choice.
For me, and I am probably one of the unlucky ones . Whenever I buy cheap I buy thrice.
Hence I would prefer to deal with a recognised supplier, not just in bikes but everything.
Believe me some items I have bought have been expensive rubbish, but I have no trouble in getting refunds.
But it didn't cost John very little Cakey, he paid around half the new price for that cheap bike with dud batteries, so net of battery cost, over half price. At that price and several years old he could reasonably expect it to be in working order other than the batteries. In the car world for example, for about half price one gets a three year old in perfect as-new working order with a new MOT, not a broken down one with multiple faults. What always surprises me is how people expect something that costs very little should be so reliable.
no need for apology, the 2 threads have got jumbled up somewhat, with some including me talking at cross purposes. this is why I removed last few posts.....shame others haven't the gumption to do likewise. But a certain party is only concerned with own agenda....Apologies, I was referring to John A's situation - not the OP. Confusion arising from reading John A's original thread as well.
Helloe just wondered do pro rider keep all unsold battery's on charge till soldHi All
Thanks for all the replies concerning the batteries on our electric bikes.
They have now been tested and found to be under - performing, due to not being kept topped up before use when we first bought them last November, if you remember the weather was particularly cold for a considerable time. I freely admit that my bike did not even come out of the box until after Christmas. So it seems the problems with the batteries were unknowingly at the time caused by us.
Pro Rider Mobility have been really supportive and have offered to replace the batteries free of charge and we can't thank them enough for being so generous.
So all's well that ends well, many thanks to Pro rider Mobility for all the help and support you have given us.

Its what can happen when old threads are resurrected.....normally by someone with an axe to grindMaybe it's just because it's late but I just read the whole of this thread and am now entirely confused. When I studied for O levels there were pocket guides (Cliff notes?) - I think this thread needs one!
