Hi

I have a D2S... keep getting E02 fault which points to the throttle. Bike wont move. I replace throttle still no joy.

The controller is wk3615ys and when measure power on throttle plug it was only showing 2.7-2.75 volts.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct or if it should be 5 volts.

I take it if its suppose to be 5 volts its the controller thats the issue.

Can it be repaired? Im ok at soldering and have a reflow station but would like to be sure its supposed to be 5 volts and what im looking for inside that may be the issue.

Thanks in advance.

There are three wires. Which ones are you measuring? Throttle error code normally means that you have a non- zero throttle signal (more than 1.5v) when the controller is switched on. It should be less than 1.5v at zero throttle.

The Voltage coming from the controller before it even gets involved with the Throttle. There is around 2.7 volts coming from controller. Red and Black. Not measuring the feedback signal voltage. Shouldn't it be providing 5vs to the throttle?

Yes. You must have a problem with something on the 5v or your meter doesn't read right. Disconnect everything from the controller apart from the battery and control panel, switch on and check again. If it's still that low, then something is wrong with either your meter or your controller. Check the meter on a 5v charger or something like that.

Pedal assist sensor pulling voltage down on throttle output voltage. There is a short on the PAS.... anyway to bypass these on the D2S. If leave unplugged get E04 error straight away. Thanks for all your help

E04 is throttle error, which means not zero at start up. iIs there a throttle connector on the controller?

Yes you are correct. Disconnected the shorted PAS sensor and got E04. Start messing around with throttle for about 5 mins and the wheel all of a sudden start spinning. Throttle not working properly but at least found fault. Wont bother with the Pas sensor any more. But throttle appears to be reversed. Accelerate is the wrong direction. Its very odd. Not even sure if have spring fitted right and cant find any photos on line of how spring or direction it should be sitting in side throttle enclosure

There's a history here on the forum of people replacing throttles on Fiido D2/D2s with generic/ebay parts and them not working. The part may look the same - even identical - but I suspect the wiring may be different. That you have error codes means you have a later D2s version with the newer Yolin display so it may or may not affect your bike.

Fiido sell the correct part for $15 dollars here. It may be worth checking with them.

To make the throttle work the other way, you need to reverse the polarity of the magnets inside it. They normally just clip in, so easy to do.
