Carrera Vengeance E Mens Electric Mountain Bike 2.0 Display broken

I have a Carrera vengeance E bike & was undercover for a few months but checked it yesterday and the display is white with water drops under it! I can’t seem to find the right display for it ? Could anybody help on how much /where I could get a display ?

Probably not very convenient to remove, but you could try removing it and putting it in a warm dry place for a day or so. (Of course you'll need to remove it anyway if you find a replacement.) Or even point a hair dryer at it (not too hot) for an hour or so. If it can open up that will help dry it out, and if its got a removable battery remove it.

If you can’t dry it out and need to buy a new display then search for suntour oled display. But be warned they are horrendously expensive for what they are. There are several advertised but nobody appears to have any current stock.

A cheaper and more versatile alternative would be to replace the display, controller and swap the torque sensor for a cadence sensor with a suitable KT combination, but you will have to do some rewiring and then recommission everything, which includes setting up the display parameters and it could also include some fault finding to get the motor to work.

So basically swap everything out except the battery and motor.

Thanks for your advice going to try and remove it the now and see what happens

Mine if broken too. Cannot get a new on so not dire of any are compatible

What a rip-off. The Bafang SW102 one is only £40 and is identical apart from the firmware. Another reason not to buy one of those bikes.

I bought a bafang CAN screen hoping it'd work, but there seems to be custom firmware on the stock one, meaning a generic bafang one will not work

You know if you had wrapped the display in cling film it would be ok

First thing I did both bikes, they are not waterproof

That is what happens, sorry when buying 1. not being aware of after sales costs and 2. Halfords

Mine are Bafang

When buying a bike you need to research and check ALL things, repair costs battery replacement costs, etc

£60 full colour display

Look on ebay for pre owned working

It would be if you PAID £40 !!!!!!!!!

Actually if you had googled it it is £24 not £40, and only mono not a colour display

Do you "google" before buying parts ?
