I had a good workout on one of the machines at the gym the other day.

That had chocolate bars in...

Is there any truth that Wagon Wheels are now smaller than you remember.........discuss
All the chocolate bar type products have shrunk repeatedly over the years, another way of putting up the price. And it's not just them, in supermarkets the blocks of fruitcake etc have shrunk on every dimension so many times that a block now is not very much larger than a slice cut from one used to be.

Looking on the bright side though, perhaps a good thing. Think how bad the obesity epidemic would be if those products were still as large as they once were.

And not just choc bars I have noticed my favourite tin of beans seem to have less beans and the sauce seem to be watered down, which does make me feel like I have been robbed:mad:

And let me guess, you've all noticed that they're putting fewer Werther's Mints in the packets too

Just wait until you have to rummage around in the liquid to find the bean!

It's true though, I remember when a can of baked beans was almost solid with beans throughout and only just enough liquid to heat them. Now the beans have all had to learn to swim. :(

57 'varieties' should be replaced with 'Beans'. Is there no end to the general deceit and underhand dealings we, Joe public have to deal with?

Change brands. The big brands have had it too easy.I find Branston beans best.
I do not work for or have shares in Branston beans or Kalkhoff

I haven't seen the Branston ones, but the excess liquid complaint applies to two own brands I've tried as well as to Heinz.

It's not too bad, the subject of confusion that you introduce is the twelfth subject covered by the 32 posts in this thread so far, so the thread discipline is better than our average in this forum. :)

I think you can get them in Iceland at 4 tins for a £1, with about the same ratio of bean(s) per cubic cm but the sauce is a required taste to put it politely.

How far could you ride on one tin of said beans?
Which brand of beans would get you the furthest?
Are own brand beans as economical as named brand in terms of beans per mile?

Flecc we need your assistance!

I don't think you should get them from Iceland. How come you're not buying British ?

That last comment puts me off, the own brand that I usually buy compares farourably with Heinz. I still remember very, very long ago when Crosse & Blackwell was the only Heinz beans alternative, but they tasted truly horrible.

Are we talking about alternative source of energy to wind turbines?

Own brand beans power outputs can easily beat the mileage per can of the premium ones, but the most important factor is how the thrust is utilised. The optimum style of saddle has to be used to gather all of the jet thrust power and direct it with maximum effectiveness. Here's the type of saddle that's best:

Social Farting belongs to another thread, but propulsion dynamics could have a calorific value if one knows the convertible calorie content of the above said tin of beans
