The BMS may balance charge at 4.15v per cell so 53.9v is perfect and the battery should have a little longer life cycle.
My swizzbee LG bms balances at 4.15v.

I’ve got to admire your persistence with this. However, looking at the photos showing the state of the rust around the rear wheel and shock, my concern would be that the frame or other component fails whilst being used.

Well moped past all the testing did about 6 short trips along a short road. and all fine. top speed 28KM/h Yes DiggyGun, can see your point, But I have spent enough on moped now. But hopefully they will last me long enough, if not will see if I can get some spares. But very much doubt it. and I'm sure from Erider they will be well expensive. But Like egroover said some rust inhibitor and some Hammerite satin black paint I know its not ideal but will smarten it up

Yes I will be enjoying the lovely weather coming this weekend, if it wasn't for you and others here I wont have got this moped fixed, its took 4 months, but like they say " It comes to those who wait " its certainly fixed wheel using those torque arms. I must admit I was a bit cautious on 1st trip had to get off at end and check cable. so repeated a few more times. the ride. then decided to go just a bit more along the road. and it was great. 28KM/h full throttle. I know those shock absorbers look bad but will see how things go, and perhaps in the warmer weather can start using some rust inhibitor and black satin hammerite paint to smarten it up a bit. No I don't intend to carry lots of shopping, only a small amount. But doubt I will be trying steep hills.

Back on the road today with moped this time went much further, all fine. I'm afraid as I'm very tall I cant use the pedals, so they are folded downwards. I can rest my feet on the pedals but find it hard when legs are long to start pedalling. Plus I have bad arthritis in knees too but its fine. will use pedals as a rest. or top of battery

surely the pedals are there to purely make it legal (pedal assist), no-one is expected to use them to pedal the moped as that would be awkward with that very low seat height and it looks heavy ?? Don't you feet rest inboard on the foot platform when riding like a petrol moped scooter ?

Yes true, by having pedals makes it legal like no tax or insurance. I know on YouTube people are using pedals, but maybe they not got long legs, Plus like i said I have bad Arthritis in my knees. I saw a similar moped on YouTube where this man says he cant use pedals as he is same long legs. maybe if seat was higher up then yes, but no way can you raise up seat. so yes I just place feet on top of battery holder

Hi all just to say moped is all going great, apart from this morning, I went to take it out, but dam back tyre was flat. typical it couldnt be the front one, But I thought it was maybe a puncture, But I pumped it up to 39PSI this was at about 12.30pm. and its still hard at 3pm so maybe its not a puncture. as I was talking to my brother and he said some tyres do that if not being used for a while.

I have now also fitted these side panels at back wheel. I only had 1 so bought another from Erider, also I cleaned up some rust parts and painted black hammerite paint over makes it for smarter now

The tube valve is probably leaky try some dilute washing up liquid to see if it bubbles, if the valve core is removable replace it.

Go faster hub covers, funky!!!
You will have to change you name to Flash Gordon, just watch out for Ming the Merciless when out riding.

Well I didnt check the valve for leaking, but will tomoz, I just checked tyre from when I pumped it up at about 1pm its now 5pm and it does seem to be going down again. but slowly. hope it is just the valve

Yeah Im taking off with those hub covers. nearly caught Ming the Merciless today the sod slipped past me

Like the theme tune "FLASH! AAARRRGGHH!", was what happened during the last test ride! I do think it is finally time to congratulate you billyboya! WELL DONE! Wow, what an effort! Serious gumption and graft has paid off, and you finally have that fully functioning eMoped that you've always wanted. ;)

Yeah but now got a dam flat tyre in back wheel. But like Nealh said it could be the valve core. I have ordered some. Like I said above I pumped up tyre to 39PSI at about 1pm checked it at 5pm and yes it was going down but slow so fingers crossed it’s the valve core. As if not it will mean taking bike back to flat again removing the wheel plus motor just so I can take wheel to get puncture fixed I didn’t really want to do all that again.

If it's not the valve core, check the tyre to see if you can find the hole (soapy water is good), as you may be able to tyre lever off part of the tyre on one side and pull the tube out a bit to patch the tube, will save having to remove the wheel

Well I have not checked the valve core yet, as been doing other things. But have ordered new valve cores. and can fit one and check if its ok after fitting. and if it is a punture fingers crossed its not. But trouble is the moped is rather heavy to lift up 2 flight of stairs, to my flat as no where on ground I can do it. my brother will give me a hand. But surely isnt there something I can squirt into the tube to seal a puncture. I have used something on my old electric bike before, like a white foam. as this moped is very heavy to have to push it or walk home say 6 miles etc if I get a flat or punture. there must be like i said a easier way. I have this pump which is great for pumping up tyres. and also can be charged up through a power pack and mains etc. so I always take this and a power pack with me

cant believe the bad luck Ive had with this moped. 3 months off the road 1st time back on road dam axle twists and rip the cable to motor, plus the sensor pcb needed replacing so that took another 5 weeks. now just 3 days back on the road i get a dam punture. well just hope its not and only a valve core

What size tyre? @Nealh mentioned these double ended tubes a while ago on another thread, which mean you can change a tube without taking the wheel out. Don't know if they are available for you tyre size, though:

Gaadi tube.

Well I dont really know but will check later, but doubt those Gaadi tubes will be ok for this electric moped, as much wider tyres. not only that Its far too heavy for me to keep taking it up 2 flights of stairs, ok yes my brother will help me. But to be honest I would rather use something like slime, as would make it much easier for me. as I have bad arthritis in both knees so very hard to kneel down. plus not getting any younger, surely there must be a quick fix if you get punctures. Im really hoping its a leaking valve core. but wont know until I fit a new one. I pumped up tyre at 1pm yesterday, and checked it again at 5pm it obviously was going down but slow. as was still fairly hard. but i could tell its going down
