Grrrrr !

How many times? Fire trains are not for fighting those fires, they are for fires on the railways.

Just like airport fire engines are for plane fires, not local buildings.
.
Our resident leprechaun reckons they are used to put out burning villages in Switzerland. I know, I know, I should have twigged, he’s wrong as usual.

I’m still not sure that a fire train is the best asset for a train fire. By the time it reaches the burning wagons there will be nothing left. I think it would be a case of jumping out and letting it burn, then send recovery / repair gear to clean up the mess.

Seen in Bratislava today... A bloke robbing a petrol station was delayed whilst a female customer performed a sex act on him.
Police caught him but reported
"he put up stiff resistance"..
World really has gone bonkers..

Don't think they were trying to be funny either, but made me laugh.

But you'll know from your time there how highly organised the Swiss are with everything, particularly with their trains being on time.

They'll have scheduled both the fire and the attending fire train accordingly.

Not little Englander... The Union...
This EU vaccine shambles is a perfect example of their intrinsic problems.
UK would go along and say we want 60 million ASAP... EU would rock up and want 3 billion when all 27 countries have chatted about it for a little while, oh and can Germany have 30 million on side because as we all know they are the best Europeans..
Oh and EU haven't actually passed the vaccine yet!!!???
Come on OG it's a monumental cock up. Imagine what you, d be saying about Boris if this was other way around and we were 3 months behind EU in vaccine programme. You, d be wanting him Lynched... And probably for a change rightly so...
It is indeed a monumental cock up. Which would not have happened had we remained in the EU. Which is worse? their cock up or ours? have we given a vaccine to the over 65's that isn't good enough? the Germans still think so.
And lets be fair we are also chancing our arm on ever getting the 12 weeks promised, so don't gloat so obviously as you are doing.
For the record I don't want him lynched, simply replaced by a real leader, this business is being used to wind up the pro Brexit half wits in the population.
And it has

they have a lot of different paperwork to fill up ..
What paperwork?

If they register for with the UK's HMRC for VAT - yes, lots of issues. If they just bung the item in the postbox (or get DHL, DPD, or whoever to pick it up), I don't see any.

That is why I am asking.

The Metro's account is a touch more explicit, then goes on to report:

In a separate incident last November, an armed robber reportedly had his penis bitten off after allegedly breaking into a woman’s room and forcing her to perform oral sex.

I live in hope that one day you will eventually get something right, but with each passing day and with each post you make, that flicker of hope gets steadily dimmed.

The U.K. left the EU at 23:00 hrs GMT on 31 January 2020, so the U.K. was a member of the EU when the Pfizer investment was made during 2019. Good grief, you are hard work.
Sometimes I do dispair. Please do try and get your facts straight. The UK was in the departure lounge from about February 2019 , .They had used up the last of their credit. What was being discussed was whether they would get a seat on the second class carriage or stand in steerage. They were not on any committees ,They were utterly sidelined . They might have had the option of seeking yet another extension, but opted not to. They had zero influence. The Americans call this lame duck period, but as far as the UK was concerned it was Zombie time . Whether Big Ben chimed 10 months later is really irrelevant. Remember , they didn't even want to hold Euro Elections, but had to and did so with bad grace. If you want to think the flag waving in January 2020 was the end, .. well enjoy it that was the wake or "months mind. "

Remember what I said about censorship: Wallstreetbets discord channel was taken down yesterday for "Hate speech". Weird that they weren't bothered about that before this GameStop episode. If somebody wanted, they could just as easily take down our ebike forum for hate speech. I'm sure anybody could find something somewhere if they looked hard enough.
I just got news that multiple complaints have been filed to financial regulators after apparently "milions" of people that use Robin Hood, the app that they've been using to do the transactions, have been blocked from using it without explanation.

The U.K. left the EU on 31/01/2020 you stupid man. Not in 2019. Up until 31/01/2020, we were paying members. If you can’t accept or understand that, you are an even bigger idiot in real life than you appear to be on this forum. That is quite an achievement.

If you were involved in Irish higher education, all those Irish jokes must be rooted in reality. Good grief you really are incredibly stupid.

Is Chatham prime brexit territory? Is it prime Covid-19 denier territory?
It's been a disgruntled area since 1984 and a Thatcher shutdown..

For 414 years Chatham Royal Dockyard provided over 500 ships for the Royal Navy, and was at the forefront of shipbuilding, industrial and architectural technology. At its height, it employed over 10,000 skilled artisans and covered 400 acres. Chatham dockyard closed in 1984.

The German distributor of widgets has a market of 500 million customers in 27 countries where he just puts the thing in a jiffy bag, charges VAT, pays postage and Bobs your uncle. Then he has this oddball country, where he has to fill up some customs forms, and then subtract the VAT , which he then must manually report to the Federal government as an export. Now if he sends the item and charges VAT, he has no problem, except an an irate English jobsworth pestering him for a refund of VAT. And then of course he has currency exchange bother. This is a bother with say Poland with currency , .. but it is much closer linked

You appear to have missed that they are perfectly happy to sell items over £135 - which seem to require much the same overhead.

In fact, over £135 could result in duty/tariff issues which would seem not to affect below-£135 sales.

My understanding/opinion of the purpose of the stock market is (1) to allow companies that need capital to borrow it, and (2) to allow investors to invest in companies they think (financially) worthwhile. The company needs to put forward a good case as to why it needs and how it will use the capital, otherwise the investor will not wish to invest. That seems a very sensible arrangement.

However, it is very open to manipulation and thus in need of regulation. It seems that the purpose could better be met if the regulation included a requirement that any stock held should be held for at least a year (under penalty of very high tax if not). That would help ensure that the investor really was investing in the company, not in the possibility of short term gain, and companies would have greater stability.

Zombies can be considered as being around, even where they serve no value. The point was that the UK had no executive function in the EU basically ever since the dissolution of the previous European Parliament, and probably before. The UK Commission members were sidelined ever since the Article 50 was received in Brussels. The UK might legally have recalled their Article 50 anytime before December 2018, as I recall. After that date they were firmly in the departure lounge. The UK was not a member from 2019 to Jan 2020 it was a monthly paying guest. Then from February 2020 until December 2020 it was standing in the vehicle pick-up area with their suitcases

31/01/2020. Look it up. You are wrong but as usual you are lacking the character and good grace to acknowledge it.

Of course the U.K. were winding down during in 2019, they’d given notice they were leaving.

Meanwhile Ireland continues to accept EU charity, unable to pay their own bills and dancing a jolly jig to any tune the EU chooses in return for having Euros shoved up their arse. Pathetic.
