Boris Johnson needs to come out from behind the settee and face up to his responsibilities as the Prime Minister. He is a far worse leader than Theresa May and she had no trace of any leadership qualities whatsoever. He must take the Downing Street briefing this evening and tell the public what’s going on. It’s weeks since he last made himself accountable to the public he is supposed to serve.
T. May had a huge sense of duty.

Johnson won't hold out very long.
I reckon Cummings will go before next Marr's show.
Johnson was definitely rattled. He was breathless and put on a very weak performance. He was like a pigeon that had been winged by a GAT Gun with a very worn spring.

She also had huge feet and a huge neck. It shifted her centre of mass into the wrong place and made her walk like a reptile. Apart from that, I can’t think of anything else significant about her or what she did.
There certainly was one very significant thing.

She created the Great Repeal Bill which wrote all our 44 years of thousands of EU laws into being UK law. Thus achieving from Brexit exactly the opposite of what Brexiters wanted, the almost indefinite dominance of the EU over our internal affairs and lives.

And in doing so created the greatest lie ever within the name of a parliamentary bill, since it repealed absolutely nothing.

Any further information as to why the Met knocked on Cummings door?

If, as said, D had left for Downing Street, wouldn't Wakefield have been there? After all, she can't be out exercising all the time.

But wasn't the whole point of doing that flecc to make what was there's ours thus giving us the ability to change what we didn't like. Bit like copying a photo or document on your computer, then putting it somewhere else to fiddle with and change. In the UK's case though there would be no original to go back to, the EU would have that.

There were two things wrong with that though. Each one of those thousands of EU laws were nodded through parliament in seconds on Monday mornings with an "Aye" from a few members present. To replace any one of them with our law takes months of stages in the Commons, Committees, Lords etc, with Civil Service attention between each and every stage. Within the lifetimes of even our youngest there won't be a significant dent in all that EU law, we'll just end up learning to live with it all, making much of Brexit pointless.

And the second thing wrong is that throughout those laws it's often specified that the European Court is the final arbiter, meaning we will always under it's rulings, quite the opposite of the intention of Brexit. In fact the departure agreement that May and Johnson agreed also includes the European Court having considerable control to ensure we stick to what we agreed. And as parliament knows, the agreement isn't even properly leaving, hence it taking three years to even struggle through due to exhaustion and exasperation.

All a far cry from sovereignty.

we were pushing for most of them and helping to draft those laws so it's quite right that we should continue to use them until further notice.
Still, I'd like anti dumping duty on Chinese bikes to go asap.

How wrong that is, we spent years fighting against many of them and arguing in the European courts, often losing there.

The fact is our status is that we leave with an agreement that all agree isn't really leaving or we walk out to spite ourselves.

Some achievement.

UK government opposed to less than 2% of those laws.
