Well Cummings has certainly undermined the entire government message of the last 10 weeks. That is probably ok, because people are taking no notice of it anyway. There is a definite sense of the Coronavirus situation being over. I saw a group of 8 men, all in their 50s & wearing appalling body hugging lycra, out cycling together this morning. It really was an ungodly sight.
The problem comes if we need a lockdown 2, say if Coronavirus peaks again in the winter. What then? What integrity, credibility or authority do the government have left to ask people to stay at home?
Boris came on, and lied to support Cummings, at that point I turned off the TV
He dismissed the second trip and the visit to the castle on 12/04 as completely false. I hope some CCTV footage and ANPR data emerges. Johnson has staked the house on Cummings’s word.
Let us see the logs from his phone. Whether base station data or actually the phone itself.
A blooming great gap at the appropriate times would be a smoking gun, of course.

Adding: A sign of dreadful judgement was that he was going to let Jenrick do the briefing. Regardless opinion of Jenrick, the circumstances dictated that the PM absolutely had to take it.

I assume that is the British interpretation of riding and not the Dublin one?.The latter certainly merits reporting. Now if you were on a Galway beach you have certainly exceeded the PSNI let alone Gardai limits ..Shame on you!!!.
