The Chinese government has produced this little video.

In the animation posted online by China’s official Xinhua news agency, red curtains open to reveal a stage featuring Lego-like figures in the form of a terracotta warrior wearing a face mask and the Statue of Liberty.

i like a joke, but this is in bad taste coming from China. It was those dirty little slit eyed, frying pan faced lying yellow ***** who started it. It would be more useful for them to save the jokes, start telling the truth and share more facts about what actually took place. *****.

Am I not a hero for surviving? No, actually. There are probably relatively few who for whom getting covid-19 was very arguably due to failure to abide by advice. (Except where that advice was "wear PPE" or similar and impossible due to lack of PPE.)

Boris Johnson’s doctors had plan to announce his death. Boris Johnson has revealed that doctors prepared to announce his death as he spent three nights in intensive care last month. Britain’s PM told the Sun on Sunday: “They had a strategy to deal with a ‘death of Stalin’-type scenario. The doctors had all sorts of arrangements for what to do if things went badly wrong.” Johnson, 55, said: “The bad moment came when it was 50-50 whether they were going to have to put a tube down my windpipe. That was when it got a bit ... they were starting to think about how to handle it presentationally.”
Brought to you by he Ministry for Sanitised Truth
You have to laugh that Boris rates himself so highly as to try to reinvent himself as a cult hero , when it's unlikely the public care one way or the other, what became of him a more likely reaction would be.

It's a shame, the loss of a Human life is always to be regretted, but if you do stupid things and they go wrong, at least others may be warned not to act like an idiot, and after all, there are plenty more equally incompetent Tory politicians that can replace him, and no one will care very much.

After all the man was a bloody menace anyway.

One point of interest; the confirmation that he was never put on a ventilator.......

You really need to drop this one sided attitude: the Chinese are certainly guilty of something, the only problem we have is whether the guilt is entirely theirs or of international origin, and for some reason the insanity of the USA in this escapes your tongue lashing too.
Do you really think the Chinese are the only ones to Blame?
Why is that?

that virus could be made in at least a dozen countries: USA, China, Germany, France, UK, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Canada, Mexico etc.
Samples of virurses and equipment are widely available.
Google CRISPR-Cas9.
It would not surprise me if it comes out of swine flu studies a few years back.

The past decade has been one of rapid innovation in genome-editing technology. The opportunity now exists for investigators to manipulate virtually any gene in a diverse range of cell types and organisms with targeted nucleases designed with sequence-specific DNA-binding domains. The rapid development of the field has allowed for highly efficient, precise, and now cost-effective means by which to generate human and animal models of disease using these technologies. This review will outline the recent development of genome-editing technology, culminating with the use of CRISPR-Cas9 to generate novel mammalian models of disease.
VectorBuilder offers a variety of CRISPR products and services for in vitro and in vivo genome editing experiments at unbeatable prices and with rapid turnaround. Our CRISPR offerings range from off-the-shelf reagents that are ready for transfection or transduction to custom-made CRISPR vectors, available in multiple delivery formats (i.e. plasmid, virus, RNA). We can package all major viral types (i.e. lentivirus, AAV, adenovirus) to deliver your CRISPR components efficiently into difficult-to-transfect cells. Additionally, we are specialized in building high-quality CRISPR libraries for knockout, gene activation, gene inhibition and other CRISPR screens. Our uniquely designed and well validated whole genome dual-gRNA knockout libraries are powerful tools for gene functional screens in human and mouse.

Whatever the Chinese did or didn't do, there was a lot of information about it coming out of China. And a fair proportion of it was potentially very helpful.

Just recently the Chinese got slagged off for increasing their statistics.

I ask you, just how good have our own numbers been? When the Financial Times seems to have the best covid-19 figures and they are very far adrift from official numbers. Missing out non-hospital deaths is dreadful.

In the Telegraph
Wilfred Johnson with his father's mop of hair, appears every inch the child of our time
Wrapped up in a cream baby blanket, Downing Street's newest arrival was presented to the world in a a rare and welcome moment of domesticity

Hang on a minute, is there some doubt about paternity? the child has brown hair, so why can't they say "His mother's hair?" is it because she is a non entity in their eyes?
It's a bit unfair to treat one of Boris's women in the same way he does

Where did that <vomit> reaction disappear just when I needed it?

Given that mitochonrial DNA comes from the mother, the baby is significantly more mother than father. (Ignoring the XY differences.)

When it comes to Bare faced lying, you need a Tory politician

Boris's suggested epitaph

Truth did not weary him
Or the Media condemn
But when the final death count is recorded
History will remember him
So why might it be a good idea in future - but hasn't been so far?

Grant Shapps said he was “actively looking at” quarantining people travelling to the UK from abroad to keep coronavirus infection rates under control.

“I think it is important that as we are seeing the numbers decrease and the R rate we hope decrease... that we do ensure that the sacrifices in a sense - social distancing - that we are asking the British people to make are matched by anybody who comes to this country.

“I am actively looking at these issues right now so that when we have infection rates within the country under control we are not importing,” he told The Andrew Marr programme.

Boris is trying to reinvent himself as some sort of charismatic cult leader
Perhaps he was pretty ill, as Doctors are not naturally given to optimism
Bad URL - ends with ...

Found it.

Johnson, 55, said it was “hard to believe” his health had deteriorated in just a few days, saying he “couldn’t understand why I wasn’t getting better”.

This is the PM who is supposedly in charge of everything - and therefore needed to understand covid-19. I know he, people, would argue he was talking as it felt to him. But if that is the case, it shows how poor he is at translating reality to personal.

Given he was apparently close to death and it was self inflicted, he has missed out on receiving a Darwin Award.

Some of the hard plastic tiles, very typically used as original on concrete floors when built, were loaded with asbestos. Safe until broken. Even then, only low risk. But, once found and identified, they needed to be taken up and it was hard finding someone to do that.
Yes a friend was refurbing his floor during lockdown and discovered it isn't linoleum but asbestos!
