The current mantra from BJ is Give me the majority and I will get Brexit done by Christmas. In this he is either a lier or a fool. He is a fool if he believes it and a lier if he does not.
Since Parliament will only form a week before Christmas at the earliest and the entire WAB mark 2 or mark 3 has to be reintroduced... !!!.
Next as soon as that is sorted, if ever. He comes up against Phil Hogan as EU Commissioner, for External Trade. Now I don't claim to know him, but was in a room with him. BJs blather will go nowhere . Diplomacy is not Phil's stock in trade. In Irish politics he was known as the Enforcer. Yes he is a Deal maker and pragmatic, but also very gruff and plainspoken when it matters

Are disabled blue badges going to be valid in the EU? I mean right now as well as post any brexit.

It appears that the DfT has removed the stars and some wording. No-one seems to know whether it affects their validity with the EU27. And the DfT refuse to say who ordered the change.

Similarly, will EU27 disabled badges be valid within the EU if there is a brexit?

He doesn't believe it, he's lying.

"Get Brexit done by Christmas" appeals to the, "my daddy fought in the war" types. It'll all be over by Christmas was what they used to say about the two world wars. Neither did end by Christmas, as we well know.

Both lasted fewer years than I expect brexit and its aftermath to last.

House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee Moscow’s Gold: Russian Corruption in the UK Eighth Report of Session 2017–19

Here is a snippet
"You have to look at the Russian oligarchs as a class. No matter how different they seem to you—one owns a football club, another donated money to Oxford for a school of government, another sat in a Russian jail for six years under communism, another was a civil servant—they all have very particular things in common. They can all be measured with the same yardstick … They are not self-made businessmen in the American sense. Every one of them made money through a relationship with the Russian Government … That bond forces them to do all sorts of chores for Putin, whether hidden, visible or invisible. It might be donating $7 million to the GOP in the year of the presidential election in the States, or supporting an anti-EU think tank in Germany. They all do something; it is just that we don’t see most of it."

My take: with Priti Patel on that committee , the outlook is for fine words and no deeds.

The BBC are idiots

Maybe all the TV channels will from hence forth dub in canned laughter over all footage of BJ (and cabinet members), in the interests of fairness of course ... ;-)

Another tory candidate, another set of questions...

A Conservative candidate who is pictured in the party’s manifesto as an NHS nurse standing for parliament is currently suspended from practising as a midwife, the Guardian can reveal.

Natalie Neale, who is taking on the shadow health secretary, Jon Ashworth, in Leicester South, was barred from practising as a registered midwife for 18 months in August under an interim order by the Nursing and Midwifery Council while it investigates an unspecified allegation against her.

All they had to do was stick to their guns and tell the truth. Now flatearthers and the Geralds of this world are convinced there is a conspiracy.

And Morons are convinced there wasn't it seems, but then they fall for anything anyway.

How can anyone accidentally remove laughter from a sequence when it was the significant response of the audience? then claim was an accident?
You surely aren't as thick as you seem keen to keep proving,
I don't know why you do it.
Is someone paying you for this service?

Chief Rabbi says Jeremy Corbyn is not fit for high office in wake of Labour anti-Semitism

Why is this of interest? any more than Johnson's personal anti Islamic comments? and the known Anti Semitism in the Conservative party?

There doesn't seem to be any reason to prefer the Conservatives if this is a Consideration, the only difference is they get a free ride in the right wing press

Noticed Daily Mail is in indignation at Corbyn's idea of reimbursing all the WASP women, highlighting point Theresa May would get £21k. What about highlighting fact that money was nicked from the women in first place.
DM quite rampant at moment with pro Boris anti Corbyn propoganda.
Trouble is neither are actually fit for purpose.

The final paragraph is:

The UK must set out a coherent and pro-active strategy on Russia, led by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and co-ordinated across the whole of Government, that clearly links together the diplomatic, military and financial tools that the UK can use to counter Russian state aggression.

The UK government's failure to do this, and to have a register of property ownership, etc., shows that they have not been acting in the country's interest. But a good track record going into an election.

Another lie - we can't publish before an election...

The independent EHRC is investigating the terrible Jew Hate crisis which is currently gripping Labour. They aren’t investigating the Conservatives. The only other political party to be investigated by the EHRC is Tommy Robinson’s EDL. I suspect that is why the matter is so newsworthy, and rightly so.
