Why would the EU want to exclude the U.K. from this? Surely this organisation benefits everyone. The overriding issue is to tackle the international criminals running these trafficking enterprises, and the EU’s stance seems to make that a secondary concern.
It isn't the EU's stance, it's ours!
This is how Fake news get spread.
From the Guardian
"
it was clear from the government’s own statements that the UK would be excluded from Europol and its agencies in the event of a no-deal Brexit, and would at best have downgraded access even if a Brexit deal were done.

The chair of the Commons select committee on home affairs, the Labour MP Yvette Cooper, said that she was seriously concerned that the government had no plan as to how to ensure continued UK involvement.

Having put questions to the home secretary, Priti Patel, last week, Cooper told the Observer the tragedy was “truly awful” and that she was deeply alarmed at the apparent lack of planning to ensure full access to the EU unit and its databases even in the event of a Brexit deal. “The government’s plans mean we could lose membership of Europol, including its European Migrant Smuggling Centre, at the end of next year if a new security partnership and treaty isn’t agreed in time.

The government’s plans mean we could lose membership of Europol,

The way it reads to me is that the U.K. would like to remain in the organisation, but the EU will exclude us.

What a torrent of foulness has been unleashed by brexit:

Police are investigating a crowdfunding page that advocated killing the anti-Brexit campaigner Gina Miller.

The page, which has been on the GoFundMe website since April, sought to raise £10,000 for a hitman to kill Miller, but did not raise any money before it was taken down.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/oct/27/kill-gina-miller-crowdfunding-page-investigated-by-police

It's even infecting the remainists too.

Is this the war they were talking about before the vote?

Human rights.

This is one area where the EU is vastly superior to us, given our cavalier attitude to the subject. As much as the EU are as keen as us on dealing with crime, they are also concerned that the law should not abuse.

As members we have to conform to the Human Rights legislation and are subject to the ECJ, but outside we insist we won't be subject to the ECJ and have said we wish to get rid of the Human Rights Act.

Therefore the EU will not co-operate in subjecting anyone to this lack of protection in law, so we cannot fully participate.

Good news everyone. Only three more Brexit extensions until Christmas!

A horse walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender says "Hey you're in here a lot. Do you think you might be an alcoholic?"

The horse replies "I don't think I am." And poof. Disappears from existence.

Now that joke is a reference to the philosopher Descartes and his famous line "I think, therefore I am."

I could have explained that first, but that would have been putting Descartes before the horse.

I think we should ask simply for a flexible extension until end of 2020.
There will be then no need for any further extension.
parliament should work out a brexit solution well before and switch over to implementation.
If JC gives Bojo his election in December, remainers are doomed.

I don’t know what that means. We are in a mess, but the priority has to be preventing people suffocating inside refrigerated lorry trailers. The EU’s stance appears to be providing assistance to the people who make money from such activity. It’s wrong.
Not so this is perfectly clear what is going on
"“The government’s plans mean we could lose membership of Europol, including its European Migrant Smuggling Centre, at the end of next year if a new security partnership and treaty isn’t agreed in time.

Note; The Government's plans, nothing to do with the EU are they?
So the Gvernment is responsible, how can it not be?

Actually we are all doomed not just remainers, but eventually reality will wreck Brexit.
Still it will be educational for a great many people.

If Bojo wins the GE, I will be looking for someone to replace me @ woosh in the new year, around March time.
I'll move back to France.
