You just KNOW Boris is going to put the 'Great' back into Britain!
Not you as well.

When will everyone finally realise that the Great in Great Britain refers only to the increase in area with Scotland in the union? It has nothing to do with status. Of course under Rees Mogg's more accurate guidance at the time they would have more correctly named the increased area union Greater Britain.

Even the Germans get it more right with Grossbritannien.

love JRM in his new job. Always courteous and respectful and with a dry wit
What banal observations. To be fair, oxygenjames' is even worse. And what can one say response? That you have let yourself and your country down by not engaging in due diligence, not checking your facts? That you're obviously not aware of his links with crispin odey, Somerset capital. That this is why he defends tax havens? That he acts against the interests of the citizens of the uk? I'm afraid it wouldnt make any difference, many leave voters seem to lack both the character and/or wit to appreciate what any of that means.

BTW It wasnt on this thread...Doh... Flecc wrong again.
Back then at the time of the referendum and before, there were three parallel threads running on the same subject and members including Robdon were discussing the subject simultaneously on all three:

"Leaving the EU", thread started 6th January 2016

"Brexit, for once some facts". thread started 28th May 2016

"Insult to Democracy", thread started 25th June 2016.

The first and third disappeared very quickly, leaving my superior thread lasting and still going strong after three years with 2993 pages and almost 60,000 posts.

As ever, I was right in the end. You just need to be patient to learn that rule always applies.

A criminal state and international pariah?

Change your mistyped scan to scam and you'll be more correct.
.
And theres not much new about it, laundered capital and tax havens have in principle much in common with the slave trade

What's wrong with tax havens? Why should governments assume they can take our money?

Rubbish. Gray's post said "this thead". You quoted Robdon from a thread started by "deleted member" (think it was Flud) named "Insult to democracy".
This thread means this thread not some other thread you choose to link to this one. Besides it was 37 months ago and wasnt THIS thread.
As usual stretching truth beyond breaking to justify your errors. Its how you defend Corbyn. Defending indefensible.
As Fingers says, Flecc is never wrong, well not in his own mind.

not all but a lot of money stashed away in tax havens is the product of tax avoidance schemes.

Can we have that on your own words with a little bit of English thrown in, please?

There’s no denying it G unit. The spirit of the Empire is back!

We should invade, sorry liberate Iran and bring it under our control. New busses. The lot. We will sell the oil and organise the country.

Early days but we need to aim high!

How funny. Not only are you wrong but you think you own this thread as if it’s an achievement in life.

You have something called hero syndrome.

It’s quite harmless but a little bit sad.

Its the same reasoning which applies to taking your young men and sending them out to be slaughtered,or buying weapons, and schools and pensions, and education and hospitals and medical treatment, and even extending to such mundane activities as allowing people to have banks and currency and rules and justice .... Generally it has evolved into democratic control of the levers of power, whereby the people decide who will govern them, and how much power they will give to various groups It is a slightly different model from a King owns everything and everyone.
Perhaps your part of the world has not experienced it yet, but generally universal suffrage is in vogue.

Hair splitting.

Robdon has posted many times on this subject, most of them in this thread.

Gray and others like to imply he never posts on this subject, but they are clearly very wrong as I've pointed out many times. Robdon is probably the smartest of all, not wasting time repeating his views, simply clicking his Approval/Disapproval to others typed views.

Noticed the DM headline today, bemoaning lack of purchasing power of the pound impacting British tourists.

Yes, that is an issue. But there are so many more ways in which we will be seriously impacted that seems like the lesser end of the spectrum. Still, makes a headline.
