From Mogg's Banned words/phrases

'invest' (in schools etc)

Subliminally telling! and he even made a mistake as it should be 'etc.' For that Mr MoggTwit Esq. M.P. will report to Harry Flashman for suitable correction

There, s some connection between you and Robdon, I, ve thought so since I saw you both in Co op window together displaying fruit and veg.
Gerald cant "thicken". He, s way beyond that and his skin is even thicker than he is. If you point out his mistakes he simply claims it was done on purpose. This is the bloke who couldnt divide by factors of 10.(the fishing sum from MENSA)
Zlatan you know as well as I do I have no connection with any other poster on here.
Do you really think I need anyone to support me?
Hell's teeth if the entire world was against me it wouldn't matter.
I do what I do because I believe in what I am doing, and for no other reason.
And if you do any checking at all you will discover that when I make a mistake
I admit it and apologise.
Tell me, does anyone else do that?
Yet here you go again making juvenile comments like this.

"There, s some connection between you and Robdon, I, ve thought so since I saw you both in Co op window together displaying fruit and veg..

And this from the man who criticizes my posts, but can't tell the difference between a comma and an apostrophe, twice in the same sentence.
If you weren't both leavers fingers would be asking you if English was your first language.

This is the sort of nonsense you can expect from the son of a coal man who has had an expensive education and now imagines himself an aristocrat
Or - this is the sort of clarity from somebody who understands the rules of grammar.

Unlike some around here.

He can'd do that till he gets some sort of a Brexit done. Farage will kill the Torys if he tries before he's done that.
as in my earlier post I think he may push the remoaners to the limit and be forced into it but if he is absolutely determined he will get support from brexit party

Rees Mogg today:

"All these people who witter on about no deal really don’t want to leave the European Union at all. It’s just code for saying they don’t want to leave and they think the referendum is a mistake. But they are not daring to put down a
motion to revoke Article 50, are they?

What would happen if Grieve etc took control of the order paper, as happened before Easter? What do they then use that order paper for?

Unless they use it to repeal Article 50, which they are not bold enough to say they want to do and there almost certainly isn’t a majority in the House of Commons to do anyway, it doesn’t stop us leaving on October 31.

These are the only two ways Parliament could stop no deal – revoking Article 50 or bringing down the Government.”
love JRM in his new job. Always courteous and respectful and with a dry wit

it's difficult to see remainers unite behind Corbyn and yet, unite they must to win the next GE.
Otherwise, BJ is going to rule this country for 5 more years.

It's the phone/font he's using. I've seen it before - all apostrophes come out as commas - its imbedded within the font's commands. Don't understand how come they designed it like that - just seems wrong to me. But there you have it.

The only way to change it is to use another font.

It won't make any difference, will it?
Brexit will be an absolute disaster
IYHO. But here's the thing OG - it's called democracy. Irrespective of whatever anybody thinks - we voted - and we voted for it. And that's how we run things around here. Well. Its how we're supposed to run things around here.

Screenshot_20190727_103301.jpg

So who to vote for then?
Thing is if all politicians were like JRM we probably wouldnt be in such a mess.
Has he lied to, insulted or offended anyone??? He, s eccentric but so what?

What is it about his rules that you specifically object to?
Double-space after fullstops (specifically at ends of sentences) is a typewriter standard. No decent typographer would do that. The space after a fullstop might be wider than a standard single space but not a double-space. In fine quality work, it might be carefully crafted to provide the best colour to the block of text.

Many computer systems are able to handle end of sentence spacing nearly automatically and do an acceptable job of it.

And just how do you display double-spaces on the web? You have to be careful to ensure that they do not display as single spaces - which removes any possible rationale for hitting the spacebar twice.
