Lol!

Keep on believing that. We could keep the EU dangling in perpetuity. Forget the insults and bluster from the EU leaders. They have not got the authority to give us no deal.
What!!!. You have really lost the plot. The writ of the UK Parliament runs as far south as Dover and as far west as Derry as far east as Hull? And as far north as Muck. The authority of the European Council derives from the combined democratic electorates of 27 separate countries in the persons of their heads of government. Do not confuse their authority and their wish to help the UK extract itself from its own morass.

IDS said 90% of Tories are against a long extension....is that true? Be interesting to try a free indicative vote.
Barnier and May are both playing the same blackmail games but Barnier has more power and is better at it.
I dont think the EU will give May any extension long or short until she comes up with a plan (yes Baldrick a cunning plan) of what she intends to do with the extra time....so far it seems she just wants to continue with the same deal.
We could end up crashing out with no deal,I wonder how long it will be before the country comes to a gridlock ....still dont worry we have Grayling in charge of traffic ????

Barnier to the rescue!

Although I think not Tommie. This cuck knows how desperate the EU is for the money and deals to be tied up.

I just wish we had someone with the stones to call him out and say fair enough. You want it, you called it. We tried. And tried.

No deal.

Next!
Barnier yesterday said... Its out of my hands now,it is up to the European Council.

No we were simply trying, and the only good point about no deal is it would make even the thickest learn a hard lesson very quickly
Cute trick by the way moving the quote, I have put it back where it belongs

You misunderstand again. It may be a language thing.

You’ve actually answered correctly but your comprehension is incorrect. The EU deal makers do not have the authority to offer no deal. I wish they did, but I can assure you the big boys will not allow them to do the no deal. Little Leo can scweem and scweem all he likes but this has nothing to do with him.

This isn’t as a favour to us btw. This is to save the club.

Well said Mr. Barnier!!......Superb, by jove i think you`ve got it!

The EU’s Michel Barnier has spelt out how a No Deal Brexit is still possible at a press conference today, declaring that the European Union is “prepared” for such an outcome.

Contrary to the rubbish put about by hardline Remainers in Westminster, Barnier reminded them: “Voting against No Deal does not prevent it from happening.”

That is because the Article 50 process means that the UK is due to leave on 29th March, unless an extension is agreed. That can be vetoed by one member on the European Council.

Barnier warned that: “Everyone should now finalise all preparations for a No Deal scenario.”
What is a 'hardline remainer' ? Dont forget we lost the referendum and are now waiting to see the pot of gold we were promised by Brexiting.
Most remainers should really be causing mischief to stop Brexit but hardline Brexiteers are doing such a good job of messing it up we might as well leave them to it.!!!
KudosDave

Indeed. Its a bit of an anti-climax, watching the erg and brexiteers self destruct. As their representatives on the thread get ever more wide eyed and frothing. It brings to mind watching pamplona while sipping a cappucino and wondering when to step out of the cafe to take stock of the carnage.

It’s great isn’t it!

The remainers get nastier and nastier. It’s just superb theatre.

Acceptance is good.

The EU European Council are the big boys( and Girl) but even they do not have the power to save the UK if it refuses help.

I have said over 100 times we are leaving the EU on the 29th March,2019.......
Quote from May's letter to Tusk..... I am therefore writing to inform the European Council that the UK is seeking an extension to the Article 50 period under Article 50(3) of the Treaty on European Union, including as applied by Article 106a of the Euratom Treaty, until 30 June 2019.
23 June,2019 would be a great anniversary date to ask for a long extension until 23 June ,2021.
You leavers better get sized up for the yellow vests !!!!!

That will include about enough parliamentary sessions for Theresa to re-present her deal some 8 more times with Speakers unable to prevent that.

By about number 5 the MPs will give up and vote the bloody thing through.

Emmanuel Macron refuses to postpone Brexit date
VIDEO. Theresa May requests a postponement of the Brexit date to June 30th. The French president will oppose it, effectively driving the European Council. By Emmanuel Berretta
For Macron, it is decided: it is necessary to stop refining and refuse to the British any postponement of the Brexit, planned on the date of March 29th. This is in any case the position he will express on Thursday at the European Council. In a letter dated March 20 addressed to Donald Tusk, the President of the Council, Theresa May claims a postponement of Brexit to June 30, explaining that she still intends to propose the withdrawal agreement to the vote of the House of Commons but that he needs more time ...

Macron's veto helps TM deal with opposition from her own party.
Next week's vote will be her last attempt to get her deal through.
If she fails, brexit may have to be cancelled.

Actually macrons decision makes sense - see metro - any request for extension need to involve a plan that can, in reality (not mays fevered imagination) "win a majority in hoc" and "will not affect smooth running of eu institutions". Guess which plan that is? Hint, not one tommy has in mind.

Well it won't be the first time we've had to kick a French arse to help with understanding.
