It's not that hard to make a case either way. The longer I am following this thread the more I see that.
But surely the fact that the UK is leaving proves there is no prison. It's only difficult to leave because we made it so by sheer foolishness, there were better ways to leave.

I made the case in this thread years ago. Observing how successful that Germany and some other EU members have been in exporting worldwide and having rich home economies while being subject to EU rules and trading agreements, I pointed out the obvious:

If we believed we could successfully make it outside, then first do as Germany has to prove we could be successful and then leave with certainty. But if we weren't able to make it in that way, stay in of course.

That's sensible, the way we are leaving by jumping into the unknown with preloaded very serious disadvantages is just plain silly.

Here is a likely reason the legal action against the leave campaign was stopped
The parent company of Cambridge Analytica worked for US Government on"deradicalisation" and held a UK defence contract that ended last month
https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/revealed-facebook-data-harvesters-links-us-and-uk-counter-extremism-campaigns

It was bankrolled by Robert Mercer, an American hedge fund billionaire who donated substantial sums to Trump's campaign, and Steve Bannon, Trump's former strategist, served as the company's vice-president.
Cambridge Analytica also faces accusations of unethical tactics, including hiring former Israeli and British spies, to try to influence elections worldwide.

All's fair in War and Brexit

So Tommie needs your permission to hold an opinion. You are such a self rightous git OG.
You've done it again haven't you?
How do you managed to change "Then don't" into "So tommie needs your permission to hold an opinion"
Let's take a look at that :
What you are saying is that You think I need your permission to pass a comment or risk being called a self righteous git?
You really are a sanctimonious creature aren't you? keep your arrogance to yourself, and your crude name calling too.
After what you have done changing posts and even forging them you need to work on bringing your morality up to standard before criticising anyone else.

I’m not sure what your point is. It sounds as though you are clutching at passing straws being carried on the breeze.

Not at all, I'm surprised that the notion that the Cookies are shared across Multiple web sites doesn't seem strange to you, and even more so one that cannot be cancelled goes all the way to Hong Kong.
Why on Earth is that happening? what is a Brexit Party doing sending ISp information to China, and what are they going to use it for?
Charitable aid parcels?

Some "passing Straw" sorry not buying that for a moment .
Especially where that creature Farage is involved.

All is sunshine and roses in the haulage industry thanks to Theresa May's Deal

Written Answer busts open the post no-deal Brexit disaster awaiting the haulage industry: "Department received applications for a total of 11,392 permits from 1,991 operator licence holders. 984 ECMT annual permits have been allocated to operators."
the industry said "We need 11,392 permits." It's going to get 984. So there's a shortfall of 10,408 permits (91%). And if you think the firms were being over-cautious, think again - over 50,000 UK-registered trucks normally make journeys to the EU and back.

Actually this isn't going to happen as they will end up signing May's Brino deal, so we can all relax.

Are you attempting humour in some fashion with this post?
There is first of all no suggestion in the link that he is standing for election, and the attempt to insult me is pathetic
It is as usual off topic and nonsense, but does show your grip on reality is slipping even further.
And this is because I posted the truth about you, instead of being ashamed you took to petty sniping with fictional comments
Silly child. Please post on topic

Liam Fox scores! in the Express
"
Brexit BOOST: Liam Fox signs deal ensuring smooth trade with Switzerland after Brexit Day
THE government has won Brexit victory after signing a deal ensuring trade between the UK and Switzerland continues uninterrupted after Britain leaves the European Union.
Trade with Switzerland, which participates in the EU’s single market but is not a full member of bloc, is worth about £32 billion a year to the British economy and the deal means the UK will continue to operate on Brussels’s terms until a free trade agreement is signed.

Just two little points it's not a trade deal it's temporary, and still leaves him to find at least £618 Billion value in trade like yesterday.

This is not the beginning of the end, or even the end of the beginning, it's actually an expensive waste of the Taxpayers money in pursuit of a disaster.

What? in the Daily Express?
"
New Immigration system will 'DAMAGE UK's prospects' - and cost employers £1BN in red tape
BRITAIN’S post-Brexit immigration blueprint will cost UK employers, including the NHS, up to £1 billion a leading think-tank has warned.
The think tank fears the government’s £30,000 threshold on migrant salaries would leave millions of Britain’s elderly people without care as current nurses, many of whom come from abroad, do not earn that much.

The study said the government’s flagship proposals will impose an £80 million barrier to EU students hoping to study at British universities and the settled status scheme “exactly mirrors the makings of last year’s Windrush scandal but on a much larger scale”.

A reader's comment demonstrates they get the same leave voting intellectuals we do one here with this
"
Good, then maybe they'll employ ingenious peoples, rather than innundating the country with cheap labour, and suppressing the wages of the rest of the country in the process. A country does not operate for the sake of business. It's time people started realising that.

Ignoring the amusing typo
This demostrates the terrible sadness of Brexit; people voted for change for the better, and
who can not hope that this wish would come true? and yet ignoring the fact that it takes years to train people to take on these roles, no one can believe for a moment the Government is willing to make it happen, or that the opposition can do so either under the circunstances they will be in.
The project is simply failing.
