What a sphincter.
It keeps him off streets, out of co op window and busy. Just ignore it.
Its quite telling how the discussion around Stockholm Syndrome ran for a few pages, I get involved agreeing with Tommie and get the reaction. He is obsessed with me( well actually Zlatan) . Its like having a stalker.

He’s not a good ambassador for his beloved socialism. He’s actually the worst kind of Nazi, if there can be a worst kind.

Perhaps we should try and be generous, he isnt coping well with difficult situation he finds himself in so over reacts on here. Bet he, d be quite innocuous face to face...
You are right I have tried on numerous occasions to offer olive branch but he doesnt see it that way. I, m the enemy I had the audacity and stupidity to vote leave so all insults, arguments, put downs are justified.
Its part of a larger problem around Brexit, he, s displaying exactly whats wrong with our society at moment.
Many insist on not seeing anything from others position and just dismiss their reasoning. He insists I havent made any arguments supporting leave even after being involved in a 50 page argument about democratic deficit and the disconnect around EU government.
Dont forget he, s also suffering affects of Stockholm Syndrome. Make allowances.

I don’t know. He probably keeps a list of names and doodles plans for a detention centre where he can send them. You are probably right at the top of the list, along with anyone else who shows any signs of wanting to work hard and earn a bit of financial security.

Oh, yes, I, d forgotten he sees me as upper class rich over priviliged capatilist. Again, make allowances. He lives in Hull. It is a stange place. Anyone with a pushbike is thought wealthy. It is an aggresive place. Worked there many many years ago. Saw more fights in a month than a year anywhere else.
Dont forget he simply says anything he suspects will be taken as insult. It doesnt actually mean anything. He, s annoyed at situation of Brexit and positiin he finds himself in. So lashes out.
Woosh has a great attitude when attacked. In end its best way to deal with it.

Are we talking about Agnew or Groaner? I thought Groaner lived in Hull and Agnew lived in a Argentina. My comments were directed at Agnew. :)

Maybe this is the key difference between leavers and remainers.

Leavers see the EU as a prison - and remainers don't.

Maybe it's that simple.
Fully agree James.

Where those who believe the EU is a prison fall down is the fact that they voted to leave and we are leaving.

Some prison, where the captives have the keys and choices of how and when to leave!!

I would of course back that, but Theresa May would never accept it.

Her deal has been so publically maligned that the public probably wouldn't vote for it and the vote could easily end up as remain in the EU. So I can't see leavers being happy with the idea and the associated risk, and they'd be right to be suspicious.

Of course this "plan" could just be an attempt to scare parliament's leavers into accepting the deal, rather than risk a referendum.

And in that is the essential difference between the EU and any other multi ethnic federation on earth.
..

The Chinese have been attempting to regain their breakaway province of Taiwan. There was never a chance that they would have allowed Hong Kong remain under foreign ownership , once the treaty had expired.
The Russians only allowed the Ukraine is secede when it was a local government issue, now when they want proper independence, they are using armed intervention.
The American constitutional position is that states cannot leave.

Maybe it is that simple .. Leavers BELIEVE that the EU is a prison. Now what caused them to have this belief?. ,When the facts do not support it?.

It does seem very difficult to leave. No one has achieved it yet.

Isn’t that the definition of detention?

The states is the perfect example.

Agreed, though I think there is a crucial difference where the Ukraine is concerned. I don't think that the Russians want that poverty stricken and backward country back at present, they have more than enough economic problems already. I'm sure their tactics are to sufficiently destabilise the country to deter the EU and NATO from accepting it, so keeping it isolated and perhaps a future possession. In that they are very successful, the EU has lost all interest in pursuing that end.

I do have some sympathy with the Russian position, the area that the Ukraine partially occupies has long been known as the Russian Steppes.

No it's not, detention cannot exist when the so called captives hold the keys.

Not difficult at all to leave, any country can just walk away, and indeed that we are threatening at present.

It only becomes more difficult when trying to leave with advantages from staying, so that's a choice.

When the constraints are not locks and walls the dynamic changes flecc.

I won't delve further into this concept with you as it is futile. The EU seems to be your raison d'etre. But the evidence is plain to see.

He isn't talking about me Zlatan, but when you are in a mood like this, you simply plow on as clueless as usual and then make an even sillier remark about having a stalker?
You need to stop starting a fued simply because I posted this simple truth

Zlatan, isn't it time you stopped trying to irritate people by involving them in pointless arguments and tried for once to post on topic?

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar : "I am the European Union when it comes to these matters.
Ireland’s anti-EU IREXIT party responded by saying that Varadkar was “leaving us in no doubt that he is working primarily for the interests of Brussels. Not Ireland”.

The chances of a No Deal Brexit continue to rise.

So the big job in Brussels is within your grasp Leo!
No more irritating elections to win or Irish peasants to annoy you!
From there on in it's a sweet ride on the gravy train and big cash prizes.
