I, ve been saying same about Corbyn for months...
Tom, Robdon and OG arent actually socialists. They just like to spout what they think represents socialism. Well 2 of them do. Robdin hasnt figured out his keyboard yet.
There was a steange post from OG where he said "OG proved you to be a liar". I wonder if that was an ID error???
Its not a phrase anyone would use when speaking of themselves. Come on OG, whats going on.??
Do you need to be reminded? when you came on here you began with a lie you claimed not to have voted in the referendum then later changed your mind saying you said that because "You didn't want to be controvertial"
Now that is of course incredibly funny, when you came on here complaining about the way everyone else behaves, and you are still at it!
You need to have a better memory to pull cons like that one.
And most absurd of all you try to pass yourself on (at times) as being a socialist.
With your lifestyle?
Oh sure.

That has not explained your "OG proved you to be a liar" comment at all, has it?

Nice one Leo - you`re handling this extremely well !

Brexit: Border control could move to Europe
By Juno McEnroe
Political Correspondent

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has told opposition leaders there is a “risk” border checks in a no-deal Brexit could be operated in France or the Netherlands as opposed to on the island of Ireland.
In a private meeting with party leaders yesterday evening, Mr Varadkar and his department secretary general John Callinan said the EU could move control of any needed border away from Ireland and onto the continent.

more here -> https://www.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/ireland/--899440.html

and with this comment i have to concur with some of the talk that`s been heard these parts.

"The way Ireland has been behaving, about the only certainty it's on course for is that quite a lot of British consumers are going to boycott its products and not be well-disposed to employing its citizens. Mr Varadkar has made a good impression with his EU masters but a terrible one with British people. He needs to get his act together, and quickly. "
See Tommie, we can agree. Leo is actually handling it very well. So now that the attacks on Leo and Simon are blunted, is the propaganda machine targetting the Irish people. If so be careful what you wish for,in general the people on mainland UK,cannot distinguish between Belfast ,Derry, Cork and Dublin.
The infantile assumption that Leo is anyones puppet, is absurd.
The article from the Irish examiner (previously called the cork examiner) is fair and balanced.
Shall I interpret.... In the event of a Crash out there WILL be borders, there is more coastal land cheaper on mainland Europe than close to the British Channel ports. So it may be more feasible to locate them there . The " risk " is not that they are located on mainland Europe, the RISK is that there will be any customs posts at all. Leo is determined that he and his government will not be labelled as the creators of the Border ..which is only fair.
Actually placing Borders in EU countries has an advantage, in that Irish goods in bonded trucks will be able to pass unhindered from RoI via UK and then through the blue channel into mainland Europe. Only goods originating in the UK or being ending there will suffer the tender mercies of HM customs .

I actually noticed that. Very strange, almost like he forgot which user ID he was logged in under. I’m not accusing him of anything, but it does seem very odd behaviour to reply to your own post in such a way. Oh dear, what have I gone & said.
It was too subtle for the pair of you obviously, are you down to the level of trying to score points by agreeing with a Troll?
He knew what I meant

I believe you aren’t posting under two names. It doesn’t bother me if you are. It’s not important.

I disagree with your troll comment.

If you are being picky what does this mean?
"There was a steange post from OG

that was in the past. The sphere of competency of the EU has grown over the years.
Our influence is diminishing fast since 2000.
More integration means less influence for us, not more.
It's up to each one of us to think where power should be, in Westminster or in Brussels.
What! after all this you want all power to be in Westminster?
Hells teeth!
Tell me you are Joking!

today's good read:

"Brexit has already been cancelled - and here's why they're not telling you"

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/brexit-already-been-cancelled-heres-13896286

"That's why I haven't written my memoirs yet !"
I do wish people would not automatically include me in their statements!

So here we are. A deadline we cannot meet, an argument neither side can win, and an entire nation that can't admit this was all a lot more complicated than we realised.

It is not more complicated than I - and surely many, many others - realised.

It’s just when people like OG Robdon and Agnew blindly disagree with and twist everything people say, it’s very off putting and does image of socialism no favours.
I think it was very unfair to include Robdon in that, he cannot have twisted anything since he hasn't posted politically, apart from this amusing post shortly after the referendum.

In addition he's agreed many time with my posts having moderate positions.

Yes, you are right. Robdon hasn’t twisted anything I have posted, in fact I don’t recall seeing anything he’s posted over the past few weeks.

He does tend to use the dislike mallet a lot :) That’s fine, but I look at some of the things he disagrees with and dislikes and find it really difficult to see what it is that he objects to.

He’s a voyeur. From the Arsene Wenger school.

He gets his jollies from looking.

The mucky pup.

I often think the problem is related to long posts covering many aspects. It's all too easy to agree or disagree with something near the end of a long post, inadvertantly applying it where not intended.

I try to be careful not to do that, so often don't apply a like/dislike where I would have liked to for a particular aspect. Sometimes I do the cowardly thing and just click Informative to duck the issue!!
